Great post!Of course you would..just like you made Paul Williams chase your son for 4 years and never gave him a fight. Hell this fight wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for Showtime and Oscar refusing to pay $32 million for a fight with either Khan or Alexander. I don't really like to have animosity towards athletes but these guys make it hard to like them.Comment

Floyd has a chin. Mosley popped him solid and he took it, as well as other big hitters. Chin is not issueComment

Oscar doesn't call the shots in terms of any paydays when it comes to Floyd's fights. Golden Boy only gets paid a small fee. They only have say over Canelo. And Showtime can't force Floyd to anyone, or refuse to pay. Just not part of the deal, but they were willing to get Floyd at all costs. Even knowing they'd likely lose money over it. They can definitely ask or suggest a fighter though.Of course you would..just like you made Paul Williams chase your son for 4 years and never gave him a fight. Really..so please do tell the rest of us oh wonderful wizard of bullshhh..who was guaranteeing Floyd his purse...i'll wait..Showtime can't force Floyd to do anything? LMAO...ya'll keep believing that shhh Haymon runs Floyd's life..Ellerbe is Haymon's man and he's with Floyd all day everyday. Money talks..and Floyd isn't paying himself..he can't guarantee himself a purse. GBP guarantees that purse and now showtime does.. Floyd didn't sign a $200 million dollar bonus..he signed an agreement where can't make less than $200 for his last six fights..thus meaning Showtime is guaranteeing him his money no matter how bad the event does. So again if someone else is cutting you a check how are you the boss?Oscar doesn't call the shots in terms of any paydays when it comes to Floyd's fights. Golden Boy only gets paid a small fee. The problem with the "fight already signed" argument is that Sr said the same thing prior to the fight getting signed.
They were truly looking to drain Canelo at 150, but partially succeeded with a 152 CW instead.
If Sr is so concern with Jr fighting bigger guys, then maybe he should advice Jr to fight at 140 instead.Comment

It goes both ways though. If the fighter has a real problem with it, that fighter shouldn't take the fight. And if that fighter does take the fight at the disadvantage, then that is his problem. Trout learned this lesson the hard way.Nonsense both Cotto and De La Hoya ballooned like hell the day after the weigh in but it's a convenient arguing point because here is a guy who actually poses a legit threat. You have an issue at 154 don't fight there period. Cheating the system? How many guys has Floyd JR fought who haven't had the proper time to adjust to 147? Plenty..two fights in a division is not a proper adjustment..if we want to be technical about it let's pull up the marquez vs mayweather situation and we can talk about unfair.Comment
