Showtime need more variety, not just better boxing cards. Most people don't know **** about boxing, so most people won't subscribe just because the boxing is better than HBO's. The poor quality of boxing on HBO could be killing off boxing's casual fanbase? Hope the numbers eventually get better.

This is no surprise. HBO has more subscribers and a stronger brand at the moment. But the real story is the quality of the fights and the prospects for the future. I think it's clear that Showtime has the edge in both of those categories. Golden Boy's roster is stacked with talent and continues to grow. However, taking over HBO is a daunting task. It may take years if ever.

Do you have both?? If so you don't have a clue. Furthermore hbo has a bigger customer base. Meaning more people watch hbo overall. However like I've said previously, showtime sports destroys hbo's. Coming from a man that has them both.

I agree that the Showtime cards have generally been better than HBO's lately.

I had HBO and just switched to Showtime... Just your opinion cause the numbers speak for themselves.

I wonder how long Showtime can sustain the budget it has been putting into boxing without a jump in subs or vieweres.

                Yes they do.

                showtime:
Boxing 5 days a weak at 10 at night.
Showbox every other Friday most months.
                More fights annually on Saturday.

                You're right numbers don't lie.

IMO, it'll look better for them when shows like Dexter, Homeland and Shameless come back on air.

Yet they still have less viewers even with the "better" cards/schedule.

You do know what that means right? They're paying for all that boxing but do not make up the numbers In viewers. We all know thats not a good thing.
