Martinez has all those things, but most are irrelevant in a fight with Floyd because he doesn't fight a big man's fight. And Mayweather is faster, has better skills, and better footwork.

BTW, if I remember correctly, Martinez is the one who mentioned fight Floyd at a catchweight of 150 first. But those are mere triflin facts. Carry on.

Improving Canelo's stamina is not enough to get him a win. He would have to maintain a sustained attack throwing 80+ punches a round. Canelo doesn't have that kind of work rate stamina or not. Guerrero had a high work rate before he fought Mayweather but it wasn't a factor last May. If Canelo go in and try to match shot for shot he will lose. He could go in and try to rush Mayweather like he did Lopez but the result would be different. If you ask whether the fight will end in a Canelo victory by KO or a Mayweather victory by decision the logical choice would be the latter. I guess this is boxing and anything could happen, but I guarantee Canelo is not out boxing Mayweather.

Only chance Alvarez has is size and Mayweather getting old. Otherwise this will be very one-sided.

If Canelo was on top rank or Floyd had refused to fight him everyone would be saying Floyd is ducking the kid.

Arum is a shrewd businessman. He picks what he says well.

In this case, I think he's spot on about the stamina. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

They were! Then Floyd signed and know they sing a different tune.

Canelo by 8 rd KO by the way

Canelo has very fast hands, he outlanded trout many times by sheer speed.
And Canelo`s whole game is counter combinationpunching.
There's a difference between having fast hands, and having fast hands for a jr. middle weight.

I agree with Arum here even though we all know he is only speaking the truth here because it doesn't hurt Top rank, i give him one thing though if this was his fighter he would have hyped the shet out of him so much that the media and fans would actually subscribe to the belief that Mayweather is ducking his fighter.

Floyd never would answer the question if he would fight Martinez, much like he did when asked about Paul Williams years ago. I think many boxers know their Kryptonite..some avoid it some think they can somehow overcome it.
Don't try to play this game dude, oh my god, this is a yoga stretch you're trying to pull off. Fights are not negotiated through the media, every time Martinez brought Floyd up, either Sergio or Floyd already had food on their plate. Not once has Sergio or any of his handlers made a call to Floyd, Schaeffer, Elerbe or Haymon about a potential fight. Not once has Sergio or any of his handlers tried to negotiate a contract with Floyd or any of his people, all you heard from the Martinez camp is what they would do to get a fight with Floyd without actually doing it. Just cut it out, sheesh.
