Floyd could win, but to claim he would stop Canelo is a bit of a over the top comment as stopping people isn't what Floyd does.

Personally, I don't think Martinez at his best beats Floyd. The Martinez that fought Murray gets pretty close to shut out.

The Martinez that fought Murray had been laid up for a while and had a very short camp..if what you say is true then when Martinez offered every term in the book in floyds favor the fight would've been made. Floyd never would answer the question if he would fight Martinez, much like he did when asked about Paul Williams years ago. I think many boxers know their Kryptonite..some avoid it some think they can somehow overcome it.

I don't really get into the whole, "this guy ducked that guy" nonsense that floods message boards like this one daily. Modern fight fans really have no clue what actual DUCKING is.

As for an actual Mayweather-Martinez fight. Martinez game is basically standing on the outside with his hands at his waist, using his quick hands to counter slower opponents. Personally, I think Mayweather is more skilled, quicker, and a better counterpuncher. The fight would be boring. But floyd is also very good at pot shotting from the outside and getting outta harm's way before his opponent can return fire. I think Martinez would eat a lot of right hand leads from Floyd, have a couple moments because of his hand speed. But in the end, lose an 8-4 type decision.

Martinez has size, speed, power, SP stance and skillful footwork. It would be a good fight.

Mayweather didn't want any though and mentioned a catch weight.

yeah he is horrible, he is the one hiding drug cheats and putting in contracts so his fighters who get caught taking drugs are not found out, the only person who finds out is themselves as the promoter

no waits that another promoter who protects drug cheats by pretending they are clean or had bad food....

On Sunday the 4th of August Wladimir Klitschko will become the longest reigning heavyweight champion since Joe Louis retired in 1949.

I think the kid just needs to HIT PBF not in the head but the chest , the arms , if he can do this the middle rounds will be decicxded by amt of fight left in each dog . big stage for the kid , big risk for floyd , this guy has dynomite in those hands .

In so many words arum is calling canelo a bum and as expected there are some following suit.

Canelo is young, strong, and showed stamina issues in one fight that i saw, not to mention he is very very big. Canelo winning will not be a shock to me. As soon as r wins those saying he stood no chance will change their tune.

let him pick cherries or buy him some coconuts

Alvarez has a huge chance to beat lil floyd joy, unless this fight is fixed to save the latter's career from ultimately falling down the drain. Or, to keep Espinoza's head from rolling.
