Ali. Camacho. I'm a fan of aggressive boxing, but this is just dumb. Like someone above said, no-one apart from a very, very few actually WANT to get hit.

So does that mean that most brawlers have good chins? Who gets knocked out more, Brawlers or Boxers? This is the dumbest thread in a while. You cant generalize Boxers or Brawlers. Lara and Rigo got of the floor against punchers and won. Soooo no I don't agree.

It may be true in some cases but I voted that I disagree. Camacho and Whitaker fought a defensive sometimes running style and they had great chins. Mayweather sometimes runs but nobody has ever knocked him down. How does Lara being down twice prove he has a weak chin? His chin was good enough to get up and win. Angulo KOs 4 out of every 5 guys he fights. He is a big puncher and can knock down almost anybody in his weight class if he hit them clean with one of his best punches.

i voted yes, but i take that back. Prob. a lot of them do, like rigondeaux, lara and khan, but its more likely that they run cause they are scared to get hit. Essentially in the boxing world, they are p**sy

what impressed me more about angulo is he sent lara down twice while lara was running on the backfoot :/ which is hard to do

i know some chooses to box because they have the skills to box
but im thinking if this guys try to go to war at one point vs a puncher theyll go night night
No a fighter pulling away already has momentum so if they get caught they go down easier, but rarely leads to a KO because of this. It's the fighters that are moving forward that usually get knocked out cold.

No, but the guys who move can get caught off balance and dropped, like Lara Rigo and Martinez. Also they dont expect as many punched as a face first brawler does so some times these "runners" can get caught

Floyd/JMM/Ward/Ali etc can fight on the outside AND the inside.
Lara and Rigondeaux can't stop running without getting dropped or wobbled.
                  Deal with it.

No it's not hard to do. When a boxer is moving backwards there are times when he'll have a foot off the canvas and if hit then he'll be off balance. As well his weight is being transferred backwards which doesn't help.

And I don't think that a defensive boxer is a sign of a weak chin. He may not like being hit, or he may like a little more space to see what's coming, or he may be naturally a counterpuncher looking for the right moment etc.etc.

A boxer regularly going down or being stunned can be a sign of a weak chin. Naseem Hamed went down quite few times but had an excellent chin. He was often off balance.

Hold on how many times have Lara or Rigo been Dropped? lmao

I think JMM has been dropped as many times in one round than both combined but alright
