But Rosado would lose to the more experienced, just-as-athletic, much more skilled Lara.
I don't think Rosado would apply constant pressure like Angulo did, and it's partly because I don't think he has the stamina, and partly because that just wouldn't be intelligent. Angulo only moved forward and absorbed a ton of punishment for his troubles. Rosado would aim to find a more effective way to get to Lara without having to walk through that much fire. Rosado isn't gonna want to rest on his chin/punch resistance/heart/toughness until he has no choice and he's willing to go out on his shield. While Rosado doesn't have Angulo's strengths, he doesn't have his debilitating weaknesses either. Lara has shown his toughness so Team Rosado knows that it'll take more than that to win.

So, bottom line, who do you think wins this match-up?

Lara by late TKO, felt like playing devil's advocate though lol

I do think it'll be a tougher fight than Angulo/Lara. As stated before, Rosado can win if he comes in very prepared. I think going back down to 154 will not do him good though, and he won't have a big weight advantage like Angulo did. Lara should be the favorite to win.

Alfredo was in terrific shape and brought non-stop pressure until the end. That's what allowed "Perro" to take it to Landy for as long as he did. Rosado doesn't have the requisite skills, experience, power and persistent pressure to defeat Lara.

Gabe is a tough kid, but Angulo's tougher. Erislandy stopped him by breaking his face. I see this match-up as being a return to Lara's usual practice of economical, sharp-shooting offense, leading to a decision win. The reason why Erislandy was so uncharacteristically active versus Angulo was because he was constantly forced to keep "Perro" off of him. Rosado isn't bringing that kind of pressure.

What league is lara in? Gabe shouldn't be underestimated in any fight at 154 or 160
Just cause someone says he wont win doesn't mean he's being underestimated.

"Rosado won't win one round" is underestimating.

Yeah, I think Gabe would make for a good fight, but he's just not a top fighter, and never will be. Lara is top-five in his division. And I'm not just citing a number; there are only about four guys that might be favored against him. That obviously doesn't mean Landy can't have an unexpectedly tough night from a decent fighter (as with Angulo), but he's not likely to lose against a guy like Rosado.

Lara is a too experienced and skillful for Rosado to handle imo but they should make it happen asap... Lara won't be fighting the winner of Canelo-Mayweather so there is no where else for him to go...

Cotto/Lara and Trout/Rosado on the same card would be sweet.

Rosado had Angulo winning, but out of the combined 6 official and unofficial judges, 4 out of 6 had Lara winning at the time of stoppage and Lara was on his way to winning the 10th round easily.

Anyway, the point is moot since Angulo quit.

To be fair, he should have been awarded the win against Love, he best that dude up. I had Lara up in the fight this weekend but he was fading fast do to those left hooks to the body that Angulo was landing. I thought he was going to be stopped in the final 2 rounds had he not hurt Angulo.

You could definitely see it too, when I rewatched the fight, that straight left that Lara landed crushed his face in. You could see the bone give way and he turned around immediately and walked the other direction.

As to the Rosado fight, I think he could beat Lara based on his size, speed and aggressive style. It would be a tough fight but Rosado winning would not surprise me one bit.
