One difference is Rigo got a title fight against a 0 defense title Haymon client after 8 fights, and after 11 got 750k for p4p Donaire. Lara's never made half as much in a much more glam division, nor contested for a full title despite multiple eliminators.

So how would you promote El Oro de Guantanamo properly? What would you do to make Oro de Guantanamo fights "MUST SEE"? How do you convince casual boxing fans to fork over their hard earn money if El Oro de Guantanamo is the A-SIDE of the main event?..because they do that for Money when he fights.

Floyd was not the first with his style , they all did the same stuff , mouth off and keep winning , from Robinson Ali Camacho Hamad etc you got to stand out from the crowd because you wont catch the train if you cant get the publics interest , youve not only got to be exceptional at the craft but be able to sell yourself , wallflowers dont do so good in show business .

Translation: We won't be doing Lara vs Canelo anytime soon.

But I agree with Schaefer. That kind of hit and run style of fighting will ruin anyone's shiny record. High risk, low reward. Most casual fans can't stomach that kind of boring style. I'd be ****** to fight Lara if I were Canelo. I'd avoid a rematch with Rigo if I were Donaire. Let him gloat with his win all he wants. It's not worth it. Casuals would even thank you for it. Such fights are a royal waste of time.

Schaefer had a point on one thing: it was Angulo's non stop pressure that made that fight so good. Alvarez Lara would be a snoozer, neither guy throws much.

Canelo is not even a pressure fighter. The audience will end up throwing bottles of beer in this fight.

Lara brought his balls, heart and guts unlike some other times he was willing to trade with the one guy he should have just pop shot to a easy W he mixed it up, Was this douchebag not watching the fight?

I told all of you Lara winning wont net him the same results it would net Angulo because he can be a problem for ANYONE not just a punching bag.

Lara put on a masterful performance. How was he boring? That is what boxing is all about. These promoters and new wave of boxing fans are trying to make boxing into street fighting. They hype unskillful guys like Angulo up, but how long will he be around fighting that type of style? I give him 2 more years and his career will be over. Lara was hitting him with almost everything he threw. He would be an idiot to just stand there and trade with a power puncher. They need to create another sport if they want to see complete bloody violence. Boxing is the sweet science of hitting and not getting hit. Schaefer is not helping the sport by making negative statements about a talented fighter with a bright future. He is simply trying to keep Lara away from Alverez by calling him boring. Boring or not, he is too skilled for Canelo.

At times Schaefer makes the ******est comments.. Lara showed he could absorb punishment & will fight to the end, something obviously Angulo is NOT willing to do... & then Schaefer says Lara is hard to sell cause he isn't exiting & Angulo is & then he goes on about no matter who Angulo faces is gonna be a good fight, well I guess he didn't pay much attention to the Lara/Williams fight, which was a good & entertaining fight & he did not see the Angulo vs Cintrón fight(where Angulo suffered his first defeat)which wasn't that good of a fight..
