Angulo is on some sort of banned substance like chavez jr. Imo cause he had unlimited stamina and a relentless attack like i never seen before. He used to get tired before after like the 5th or 6th round but last night he was gettin stronger every round, i was like wtf?! Doesnt he run out of batteries? Lmao

That's true. The fighters are not weighed stipped down to their underpants the way they are for the real weigh in. They never tell you this because they like the shock value of the big weight gain. My guess is he put on about 17 pounds and that's still way to much weight to gain in 32 hours. Such a huge weight gain probably did him more harm than good. The human body was not designed to gain so much weight in such a short time. Until they return to same day weigh ins {probably never} some fighters will continue to gain large amounts of weight after the weigh in.

They should put a rehydration cap of 10 pounds on all weight classes. It should be a mandatory rule for all fights.

(not even same day weigh ins. guys were just more disciplined) now we're left at what we have today........guys fighting in divisions & blowing up no where near the division.
Same day weigh ins ended around 1983, ~30 years ago. A decade is 10 years and more then 1 decade = decades.
          lol @ water weight..........

more like regaining their strength back from starving themselves down to a division thats not around their walking weight.
Yes its water weight. Regain their strength from starving? How the hell does starving your self makes you stronger?

          (heavyweight division)

thats the point.........theres no weight @ heavyweight today.......guys are are walking around 40 pounds heavier then what they should be. weight has gotten worse over the years in the sport.......
Another post which makes no sense. Heavyweights dont have to "make weight", so what if they are walking around heavier, what relevance does this have to rehydration and weigh ins? Oh absolutely none

              sigh

you let me reel you in too easily.

"20 pounds is water weight" 20 pounds? whahahaha! water weight is something that you cut over night (being no higher then 8 pounds) we're talking about guys going up to their walking around weight (and down when training to make weight) & not everyone's body retains huge amounts of fluids to make an impact on the scales as "water weight" it really depends on that individual. water weight is nether here nore there for this discussion. it's a joke of a argument. i call it for what it is.......guys that go up 20 pounds + are going up to their natural weight. (the weight that they most likely walk around at)........do you actually think a fighter like broner walks around at 135? or rios walks around at 140 & just gains water weight? "they're gaining water weight" NO. they're gaining walk around weight..........much too easy.

              next

are you really debating how many years are in a decade? O.O you said dacadeS. with an "S" the mid 90's to 2000's is when this weight BS really kicked up. by those terms theres only been one decade (from 1983 to 1990) without same day weigh ins. and weight hydration in the 80's was so insignificant & minimal to the point of not even worth mentioning........wtf

I remember Floyd and his fans saying "I only want it to be a fair fight"

but when it comes to Floyd gaining the advantages then "it's OK and normal that he tries to get all the advantages."

Okay, let's say he takes off his shoes, clothes, and ***elry...let's take away like 5lbs. Still a lot, compared to Lara who went up only 10lbs, let's take away 5lbs from Lara, that would be 5lbs.

No doubt 15 is a lot. We also don't know if Lara or Angulo stripped down, it could be only Lara did and it was less of a difference. Could be only Angulo did, and it was wider. Just saying, unlike the official weighin, there's no direct incentive to shed weight. There's the famous Clottey 170lb weighin with full clothes and ***elry
