Well, they need to do official weigh in on fight night. Make it an event too without clothes.
So Angulo puts on 21 pounds over night...

Fighters have been doing it for decades, what exactly has changed? It's not a secret the human body can cut water.dude you're fooling yourself if you think guys were blowing up (a significant amount) over 20 + pounds on fight night.
thats part of the reason why heavyweights are bigger today. most of these guys are fighting 30 pounds over their natural fighting weight. a guy like arreola should be fighting at 220. instead he comes in at 240 +
And what are you taking about with the heavyweights, they don't rehydrate at all, why would they cut weight when they have no limit. You obviously are really confusedComment

If I ran boxing I would have weigh-ins within 6 hours before the fight, and decrease the number of weight classes to 8. Don't expect either of those things to happen any time soon, though.Comment

Who are yoy kidding? Me wearing a whole military uniform with steel toe boots only add on 10lbs... Y'all delusional man.Originally posted by HeroBandoQuote:

Just shoes can add 4lbs. He may have change and a fat wallet on him, who knows. If he really cared, he'd have vetoed them from showing it, like Chavez Jr or Mayweather.

That is pretty crazy. Then again, Chavez is putting on like 30 pounds, so we should be used to this by now.Comment

looking at my post you got confused.........i mentioned the heavyweights because the overall point was to compare weights of today vs the past. you are fooling yourself (or only started watching boxing in the last 10 years) if you think boxers (by any significant number) always re hydrated to 20 + pounds on fight night? anyone who has even a inch of knowledge about the sport knows that weight has gotten worse since cutting same day weigh ins. (not even same day weigh ins. guys were just more disciplined) now we're left at what we have today........guys fighting in divisions & blowing up no where near the division.Fighters have been doing it for decades, what exactly has changed? It's not a secret the human body can cut water.

lol @ water weight..........
more like regaining their strength back from starving themselves down to a division thats not around their walking weight.
(heavyweight division)
thats the point.........theres no weight @ heavyweight today.......guys are are walking around 40 pounds heavier then what they should be. weight has gotten worse over the years in the sport.......Last edited by Godsfly; 06-09-2013, 06:10 PM.Comment
