Look at MMA those guys takes losses all the time and their fan base remains. Maybe its because of us fans that promoters are afraid to let the best fight the best because they know one could ruin a whole fighters popularity, and in boxing thats everything.
You are right, that is one of the reasons boxing is dying. There is room in the sport for more than superstars and undefeated blue chip guys.

Chad was damaged goods even before the Ward fight.

He then became weight-drained damaged goods, people had said this could happen. Stevenson ain't very good, Chad is just done.

Dawson is not damaged goods physically. Those saying he lost because he shaved weight for Ward and it hurt him permanently are ******.

Dawson is done mentally. He has always been weak that way. When his confidence is up and he gets rolling it's a beautiful thing to watch but when he lacks that confidence he is a very ordinary fighter.

When he went down today he had a look on his face that reminded me of Buster Douglas when he showed up fat and Holyfield dropped him that said "Do I really want to be here right now?"

I don’t know about that last part, it looked like he put everything in to getting up and did his best to show the ref he was coherent. He certainly wanted be there

Dude its just the truth Dawson was the very definition of damaged goods.

People do realize Chad stopped being able to make 168 in 2006, for him to try it in 2012 was career suicide anyone with a decent knowledge of boxing history knew this.

you have to expect it in mma seeings those guys couldn't block a punch if there was a brick wall in front of them

I'm a huge Dawson fan but he isn't the most strongest fighter mentally & when your weak minded & have back to back devastating stoppages, it's going to be hard to come back.

                I will support him though.

Jawwson is finished at elite level unless he can get with Virgil (yes another trainer switch) and get that Elite Level Neck treatment that's Khan's getting.
