This is the way most sports fans work. If you slip up once, no matter how good you were prior, no matter how many accolades you have and what you accomplished, you will instantly be discredited and it will likely follow you forever. Football, Baseball, Basketball, MMA, Boxing.

Boxing is not dying at all, in fact I think Boxing is on the rise again while MMA is on somewhat of a decline
Yet Lebron is still considered to be the best player in the world right now, theres a difference between being hated on and just thrown away, In boxing 1 lose can derail your whole career. Its not like that in other sports. I mean look at Lucian Bute, a year a ago he was the Matthysse and GGG of these forums to you guys, not whenever a fight with his name is brought up people tend to think he’s going to get destroyed.

This is two, really bad losses in a row.

And no Bute was not GGG or Matthysse on this forum!!! He always had a ton of critics.

But like I said in boxing u have a chance to bounce back. "You're only as good as your last fight" is a true statement in boxing but it can be turned around quick.

Well that's boxing for you. Once you lose, you get swept under the rug and become irrelevant. It's up to Dawson to try to rise up to the top again.

True, but a lot of times its tough for these fighters to get fights after this, you think HBO is going to be quick to show off Dawson again? Or even Showtime?

I'm a Fedor fan till the day I die just like I'm a Wanderlei and Margarito fan till the day I die.

Bandwagon fans aren't real fans man and you know this.

Well he's going to have to work his way up. He's still a former champ and you'll see him on an undercard or two but if he keeps winning he can get back to the top (if its in him).

Two knockout in a row is usually a sign that you're about to see a whole bunch of Ls on a guys record.

I saw the sign early when Adamek almost knocked him out. Then he fought Johnson and Tarver twice and we all know how it went down after those fights...

I hope he gets a rematch, because I would favor him to win it. Got caught with a good shot he didn’t see
