This is why Boxing is dying!

Dawson got hit with a beautiful shot and he lost, and now everyone is acting like the guy is damaged goods. It happens sometimes, imagine if Barrera would have retired after his terrible ko loss to Junior Jones.

I for one think Chad can bounce back and I will support him, just like I support Khan, and as much as I hate him Bute. Because these guys get knocked out and get a few losses they shouldn’t be just thrown away.

Look at MMA those guys takes losses all the time and their fan base remains. Maybe its because of us fans that promoters are afraid to let the best fight the best because they know one could ruin a whole fighters popularity, and in boxing thats everything.

Glad you support khan. I just hope your arent foolish enough to bet on him against anybody at 147 other than devon. Anybody with decent power will hurt him. Even berto

Lol boxing isn't dying because Dawson lost back to back stoppages!

The great thing about boxing is Dawson will have a chance to bounce back. But hr has to EARN his respect back.

Wlad was KOd three times look at him now.

Seriously though Dawson very well could be damaged goods. No one knows till we see him fight a couple more times.

i think threads like this hurt boxing when it was as good of a night as anyone expected... they broke a record at the home depot center... boxing is very much alive.

Khan isn't damaged goods he's just not a 140 pound fighter anymore.

Dawson is not going to bounce back. He's not mentally tough enough.

Boxing isn't dying homie. When a fighter gets stopped twice in a row you might lose faith in them. I would still cheer for Ward against anybody except Ward, Froch, or Hopkins, or Kessler.

I think Kessler vs Dawson might be good for some reason lol

I chose my words wrongly, not dying, but fighters can never be that that big if the fans are ready to just throw them away after a couple of losses.

If there is a rematch, I think Dawson has a good chance to win still.

lol not even close. Look at Fedor's fanbase after he lost. His fans were out in droves for over a decade, then he lost and now you'd be lucky to see a Fedor fan. Lebron James has been a historic choker and even despite winning a championship and contending for another one, that moniker will follow him for the rest of his career and every time he chokes.

This is the way most sports fans work. If you slip up once, no matter how good you were prior, no matter how many accolades you have and what you accomplished, you will instantly be discredited and it will likely follow you forever. Football, Baseball, Basketball, MMA, Boxing.

Boxing is not dying at all, in fact I think Boxing is on the rise again while MMA is on somewhat of a decline

Honestly, Dawson looked like damaged goods against Pascal. Dawson's problem is he has been feasting on older guys like Hopkins, Tarver and Glen Johnson for the last 5 years. Put Chad in with anyone who has wheels and he get run over.
