When you put it like that yes he quit but to say "he quit" sounds disrespectful and kinda harsh.

"He got stopped" sounds much better.

Didnt he break something or just stopped? Like I said, if they just quit "cause they're too young to be hit" aka Ortiz then yes you're a quitter.

He quit but it was the right thing to do. This fight was a toss up, another punch could've ended his career if it hasn't already.

By definition he quit, he turned his back. But he's no less of a fighter and has just as much heart as before. He did the smart thing, what if he goes blind in that eye? Live and fight another day.

We as fans know when a fighter quits is my main point. Angulo turned his back. When the crowd saw his eye up close, the crowd went oooooooooohhhhh! They knew which made me glad. You guys know that I'm not an Angulo fan, but he fought a courageous fight as did Lara. I just didn't want to read a post where it says that Angulo quit. That burns me real bad.

No, in the Lopez fight he fought like a fighter and if you saw the xray of his jaw you wouldn't knock him for quitting. The Maidana fight he just quit to quit tho...

                    Yes, Angulo did "quit".

He got hit with a punch, and turned his back on his opponent.

                    He ain't a real "G'.

Ortiz imo didn't quit. If you saw the damage to his jaw, and take into account that he was winning I think at the time...he didn't quit. To this day you can see that his jaw is not the same when you look at him. The bleeding and swallowing of blood is something you have to go through to understand why Ortiz quit.

Ortiz was bleeding inside his mouth and swallowing a lot of blood. He did not quit. He did the right thing.
