Lara had his chance and blew it,he fought like a scared kitten the entire fight until the last round when he knew it had passed him by.

He just allowed it to be closer than it needed to be. He was clearly the better fighter, but he gave away some rounds by not throwing, you can't do that against Canelo as the judges are in his favour.
How generous of Lara to "hold back"in the biggest fight of his life and not embarrass Canelo, the guy he's been after for years. Good thing he saved his best performance for a guy like Ishe Smith.

Lara made it an ugly fight. Doesn't mean we stop scoring fights round by round. Lara clearly should have won a close, ugly fight.

'Fans' of the entertainment industry got what they wanted... oh well - move on.

There's nothing clear about a 7-5 type of fight. No need to go over that topic again.

The issue I was addresing is how Lara apparently decided to win a close decision instead of embarrassing the opponent he'd been begging to get into ring. If you're clearly better you prove it in the ring and that's something he couldn't do, because he's not a better fighter than Alvarez.

Lara got scared once he felt canelo's power, he went in there with rollerblades.

Seems like there is no room for error on Lara's part, huh? Surely Canelo did no wrong in that scrap. "Lara needed to grasp the moment" is a bunch of bullshit.
Like I said on my previous post, fights are scored rd by rd-- there is no debating this. Unless we are judging based on popularity which in this case we shouldn't call it a sport.

Look Lara could've easily come away with a split decision because it was such a close fight. It wasn't close because Lara held back, but because he's simply not a better fighter than Alvarez. All this talk of he could've won clearly if he just threw more is ****.He's not clearly a better fighter even if you feel he should've won that fight.

You scored it 7-5 for Lara one swing round and you have it a draw. How the **** is that clear when you have it so close? Not to mention you have a clear agenda against Alvarez.
