Comments Thread For: Yuriorkis Gamboa Outpoints Darleys Perez In Snoozer

By Jake Donovan - A battle of unbeaten lightweights saw Yuriorkis Gamboa preserve his "0" with a lackluster decision win over Darleys Perez at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Scores were 116-111 (twice) and 115-112 for Gamboa in their HBO-televised co-feature, which served as the supporting bout to the lineal light heavyweight championship between Chad Dawson and Adonis Stevenson. [Click Here To Read More]

Should have switch knock downs. What I am saying is Gamboa looked as if he hooked his right arm around the back of Perez's head and it did not look like a legit knock down and Perez knocking down Gamboa did look legit. I don't remember how the fight was scored so I am not even sure it would have made a difference. With that said I believe any close to elite lightweight with power beats Gamboa easily.

Nah it would been a majority draw even if that happened but if you focus on Gamboa's left foot you can see he slips on that ****** painted sign that has no business there, and then eats the jab. I think both KD's where garbage and neither should have counted i thought i was gna be sleepy the rest of the night after that crappy performance, but after angulo v lara i was like.

That was painful to watch. I hate the fact that almost all the time Snoozeboa has all the advantages over his opponent and instead of taking them out,he's happy with just outpointing them.

Gamboa sure knows how to take the potential out of his own career. Dude is becoming less and less of a factor with every fight.

Agreed when he gets bored meaning he doesnt blow the guy away and the guy also poses no threat to him, he goes into that ****** amateur mentality.

Pretty much this, in and off the ring nobody has fkd Gamboa over more than Gamboa.

Andre Ward was mentioning certain flaws in Gamboa's demeanor in the ring. Ward stated Gamboa goes in without a gameplan, to me that translates more in lack of quality trainer.
Yuri's current trainer, his dad, Carlos Gamboa is not doing him any good imo.
