Gamboa didn't help his stock at all tonight. If he's content to be what he is, then put him in with a brawler, someone he'll look exciting against. If he wants to improve and become the fighter some think he can be, hire Pedro Diaz.

They're setting him up for a future Broner fight, it would be exciting while it lasts, then the fight would end brutally for Gamboa.

Who didn't predict this, like I said a long time ago, Gamboa doesn't have the size for LW, Vazuqez, Abril and Burns kill him. Now move down to 130, mad exciting fights for him there or a brighter future.

Burns is too limited, wouldn't bet on him against Gamboa.

Darleys Perez threw less than 400 punches in a 12 round fight... That's obese heavyweight territory.

Perez was just waiting for counter punching opportunities, but it's Gamboa's fault the fight was boring?

Gamboa's lack of versatility is disappointing though. He wants to formulate his plan in-ring like Mayweather, but I think he lacks the tools; he's either in boxing/counter punching mode or aggressive/combinations mode. If he would've feinted with his feet, he could've thrown off Perez' timing and landed his shots. He's going to be the shorter fighter at lightweight and above, so he's going to have to adapt his style accordingly (footwork feint (ala Pacquiao) or learn enough to fight on the inside at this level) or suffer the consequences.
