Not strictly true. They may have similar game plans going into fights, but that's down to Adam Booth, who trains both. Groves, however, is always far more interested in mixing it toe to toe that Haye is, making him, IMO at least, the more exciting fighter of the two.

Boxing style or out of the ring? Groves is actually a good bloke imo, he just needs to beat a contender to become a genuine contender - something he hasn't yet managed.
not for me, the fans would be robbed of a potentially good Froch opponent, imo it's a waste of time fighting someone Froch drilled in sparring inside 2 roundsLast edited by Weebler I; 06-07-2013, 04:00 PM.Comment

If he drilled Groves in sparring why would Groves want any part of Froch.. makes no sense what your saying.Boxing style or out of the ring? Groves is actually a good bloke imo, he just needs to beat a contender to become a genuine contender - something he hasn't yet managed.

He could make a WHOLE lot more money being a undefeated fighter like Floyd fighting people fast their prime, Froch is in his prime. You make no sense. Fighters take fights they know they cant win when their already defeated and past their prime/have no future.Last edited by Anderson Silva; 06-07-2013, 10:38 PM.Comment

Groves is not a draw and no one cares if he's undefeated if he's fighting duds or over the hill fighters. The way for him to get paid is to fight someone well known such as Carl Froch.
Comparisons with Mayweather are way off-base, Floyd took tough fights on the way up and made his name by beating quality opposition like Castillo and Corrales.Comment

When Floyd was coming up he fought a slew of insanely tough, world-class fighters in their prime: Genaro Hernandez (on the edge of his prime, but the lineal SFW champ), Angel Manfredy (who considered to be a future champ by many), an undefeated Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo. Floyd earned his ability to defend his 0 against other big names and cash in, but he's made some fan-demanded fights here and there- undefeated Hatton, Victor Ortiz, Robert Geurrero. These were people that fans wanted him to fight, people just forget that those fights were seen as challenges because they ended up being easy work.Comment
