100% class individual who will be in the HOF without a doubt but he shouldn't fight again, his legs aren't there anymore.

I hope Sergio fights once or twice more then retires. I don't think he has the chin to keep fighting.

I agree with WesleySnipes, I would like to see him fight Cotto.

I do not want to see him fight GGG. That would not be competitive.

i think that 234-5-2 record for his last seven opponents is the best in boxing right now, not too sure though.
And? What do those records mean? Barker had fought absolutely no one and Macklin/Murray's claims to fame were having close fights with a faded Felix Sturm.

They would probably be considered bums (especially by non-Brits) if they never fought Martinez.

Just because they pushed Sergio close (Murray beat him) and exposed a lot of his flaws doesn't mean they were great match-ups to make.

barker, macklin, and murray are better names to have on your record in the MIDDLEWEIGHT division than the guys quillin or golovkin have, since they are actual middleweights. i doubt anyone would call those british MWs bums. second-tier might be a better word, but not actual "bums". plus, before murray, martinez defeated the second best MW in chavez (at the time). exactly what matchups would have been better for martinez than macklin, chavez, and murray?

the meeting was probably for a future fight with GGG. plus HBO better cough up some money because segio martinez has been mentioned as an opponent for mayweather and his hand out ass whoopping retirement tour. presented by (SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING)

Of course he should keep fighting. He more than likely gets him self into one of those, "Best shape/best training camp of my career" type of conditions and boxes GGG's head off in a 12 round clinic and derails the hype train.

But in the meantime, lets keep the knee-jerk reactions going and ask him to hang the gloves up.

Wow. Martinez is a braver man than I thought he was.

If I had been knocked on my ass and beaten up by One Direction's back up dancer, who also happens to be a part-time janitor, I wouldn't be showing my face in public ever again.

I guess Yemen can get kinda boring after a while.
