He should give Marquez a call about that.

But if you can't be the GOAT at boxing (despite the noise), you pick a new game. So Floyd is emerging as a strong GOAT candidate in the CW rankings. He should rematch Canelo at a CW, that'll get him there, plus there's the extra buys to get from calling it "Battle of the Undefeateds" yet again.
problem with paragraph 1-floyd has won the jmw title twice at 154. so he has proven he can handle the weight in his 5th class. what about chess?

once thiss fight occurs-assuming canelo weighs 152-then floyd will have had his first cw title fight and 2nd that I know of. Manny has 3 cw tilte fights that I know of-145 (cotto), 151(margs) and 144 (jmm 3). which means anyway you cut it manny has earned his reputation as the CW king, even though I find that title rather ******.

go at floyd and his fans as hard as you want.make as many jokes as you want. flip flop on how you view 2lbs. call canelo undefeated. no matter what you post you can't change the fact that ALL of floyd's title wins as of now were won at the max weight of the division. Can't say the same for manny.

He's striving to be the champ of all 152, in addition to blown up and past prime 154ers. It's not quite the same as being the 154 Champ, but you'll be happy to forget about this till I jog your memory. That's fine, but the louder you are, the sooner you gonna have to come down

So Pac 3, Floyd 2, but check of the CW belt galore that's at stake here, at the 5th division: WBA Super, WBA Unified, WBC, Ring/Lineal. So Floyd figured he'd make it up in quality, and boy did he ever.

He can defend it at 154. But he chose to negotiate to make Canelo come down to 152 because I assume he and his team feels it will give him an advantage come fight night and because Canelo was so adamant the fight had to be at 154.

Is it any different than manny, odh, srl, or any non hwt cash cow negotiating a cw? IMO, no.

no pac 3 and floyd 1. Floyd may get #2 unless Canelo does what floyd did to JMM and come in over and renegotiate a new contract and the fight goes on.

ok so I guess floyd's wba jmw belt isn't on the line. So, if he beats canelo he will be wba 154 lb champ, lineal wbc ibf and ring 152lb champ, and lineal ww champ.

thats not bad for one guy. clearly p4p#1

How's Pac 3 then, it was the exact same belt in play for JMM as for Cotto. Either way, nobody can argue with Floyd CW credentials, just check out that CW belt collection up there. It goes deeper man, that WBC belt also came at a CW. The whole thing is dripping with CW goodness

floyd hasn't beaten canelo yet so you cant count it yet.

man let it go dude. its cool being a manny fan. problem is when it comes to cw's its on him. yes there are floyd crazy fans that went WAY too hard too early. this is NSB that happens all the time and any poster getting it deserves it.

Hell, I said manny wouldn't do ped testing. soon as he did, 1st thing I did was apologize.

Just understand that as soon as the fight is over I reserve the right to flip flop on my opinion that the title win at a cw is bogus. Most likely I will justify it by saying floyd also had to defend at a cw so its a wash.

but we wont know unless floyd wins!!

See I'd be fine with that if I didn't see you trying to take same old potshots even now, after this big comedown. You can't be potshotting when down, you gotta get back on your feet first.

I don't like CW fights, especially for titles! But when CW's do occur...I'm ok with the bigger man having to cut more if he's chasing the smaller guy. I wasn't ok with Pac doing it especially when it's on record with them stating that certain guys have to come down further (Cotto, Mosley) in order for the fight to be made. Floyd doing it is no different...the Nelo fight should be at 154...if the contract for JMM said 144 he should have respected it. The fact remains that I still watched Pac vs Cotto, Pac vs Marg, Chad vs Ward, PBF vs JMM and I'll definitely watch the Nelo fight. I do have a small problem with guy weighing 20+ lbs more than their opponent on fight night.

I've asked this before and didn't get a response...why was there so much whining when Broner beating 130-135lbrs but none for Nelo? He's so much bigger, I won't give him credit til he fights guys his size...shouldn't that logic be applied to Nelo?
