What a fight that was last night, great stuff from both men. In my opinion, Ruslan was surprisingly up on the cards, he seemed to completely negate any of Alvarado's work, which isn't easy to do. Provodnikov proved last night that he is a world class operator. Bradley rematch? Or why not a fight with young Matthysse or Garcia, sadly network disputes may get in the way.

And easily up on the cards, too. Alvarado looked scared to death to punch most the fight. I guess Ruslan really hurt him in that first round.

I felt Alvarado was winning the fight easily until a big Provo punch that landed at the end of the 7th round (had him up 5-1, with 1 even at that point).
Damn, I had it 4-3 Ruslan after 7. Other than the 2nd and 3rd, he was doing all the eye-catching work.

Alvarado was doing exactly what got him in trouble in the first Rios fight, but Provo took better advantage of it than Rios. His eye was swollen because of the several left hooks that Provo was landing on the inside. Mike wasn't adjusting his defensive stance quick enough and kept getting hit with the hook over and over.

I had it 4-3 Alvarado, but with just about every round close.

Gave rounds 1, 4, and 5 to Provo.

            Gave rounds 2, 3, 6, and 7 to Alvarado.

When I saw round 2 and 3. I knew Mike was going to lose. He was using his legs and there was just no way he would be able to go at that pace for 12 rounds. Ruslan effectively pressured him.

I don't think there is anyone in the game today that can pressure you like Ruslan

I had Alvarado up before the first KD..Prov really hurt Alvarado and he never recovered and lost all the rds after..Alvarado was a beaten man..

I was wrong about this fight, and I give full credit to Prov..Great fight last night..
