So ****ing tired of hearing how Alvarado can box so well

**** that, he's a VERY average boxer at BEST

Matthysse beats Alvarado's ass, and would be an epic fight with Ruslan, I can't pick a winner in that fight
I didn't even decide a winner for the fight, why are you accusing me of **** I NEVER said? That's ****ed up.

I barely talked about this fight except for saying Ruslan would take Alvarado into a war and expecting it to be a 50/50, which it was.

You're saying I overrated Alvarado?? I don't even like Alvardo, nice job being a grade A accuser.

        • I was really surprised at Ruslan when he went inside, and would turn Mike and try to land left hooks at the same time.. very smart. His defense could be sharpened up, but his fundamentals have certainly increased.

          • im suprised

im suprised how many people on here know nothing about boxing. ruslan inside distance was the easiest money i ever made. like my post last night said, soon as ruslan hurts him its over

            • anyone notice ruslan wobbling mike with a jab and mike doing the exact same dance he did when he was in there with rios?

yep, a lot of guys here who favor "slick boxers" all swarmed to Alvarado saying easy money, except they forgot that Alvarado is a very basic average boxer, dude was getting his ass kicked against BREIDIS PRESCOTT

                lol

only reason he beat Rios in the rematch is because it's ****ing brandon rios, the guy who was outboxed by another AVERAGE boxer Richard Abril

To be fair, Ruslan's not exactly Gennady Golovkin when it comes to cutting off the ring. Alvarado's not the slickest ever, but it wasn't expected he had to be.

I felt Alvarado was winning the fight easily until a big Provo punch that landed at the end of the 7th round (had him up 5-1, with 1 even at that point).

I had it identical to Lederman's card, and i rarely agree with him

judges also had it fairly wide towards ruslan (98-90, 97-90, and 96-92), obviously the KD's had a lot to do with the points being as wide as they were

I didn't have alvarado winning easily, but there were some rounds that could've gone either way

Yeah, I didn't really phrase that correctly. There were definitely some close rounds but when I added up how I scored them I had Alvarado easily ahead (and I wanted Provodnikov to win).

I think if Mike could have stuck to the gameplan he would have won or even if he had got hurt a couple of rounds later. But for whatever reason, whether through lack of stamina or lack of discipline he went toe to toe too often.
