Only hard core fans get a shiet about this fight anyway...so a smaller venue on the East would suffice. Besides, early 2014 is feasible as well...papa Garcia aint gonna let this go down in essentially hostile terriority since his entire being is premised on doing what's in the best of his son...

Hostile territory? Matthysse flies out here for every fight. You telling me Garcia can't fight in LA? obviously, Swift can fly and fight in LA but why would he? That is not the point that is being made. Unfortunately for Lucas, boxing ain't reach the heights of soccer in his native country so his need to fly every where to fight is his burden to bear not Swift. And at the end of the day, as champ Swift should invoke every single provision of the contract to fight dictated on his terms including the all important venue. Ultimately, all this back and forth discussions could be moot cuz if the money is right...Comment

So in other words you want Mr Swift to be another Ward or Alexander (who's actually been traveling lately) and just fight at home or near home?Originally posted by PR ESQ.Quote:

We latinos usually stick together and support each other, as a Meixcan, I like both guys, Danny is a cool guy, the problem is that his father has given him a bad image that's why a lot of people don't like Danny, besides the fact that Danny has been a little ****y for a while, and Lucas is a nice humble guy who has stardom because he's humble and he keeps KOin guys that come to him.
So I'll root for Matthysse and I'm sure a lot of Mexicans will cheer for him.
Nothing to do with nacionalities, every time Cotto fight's I root for him. It's just that some guys are likeable and some not.Comment

This only makes sense in the east coast with basically all East coast fighters. If the main and Co main event are from ny pa dc why not hold the event somewhere around those areas? Plus I won't be able to go if it's in Cali since I'm in Maryland

boxing fans in los angeles?
nah, they don't have those.
matthysse is huge with the hardcore fans right now. his next fight is going to sell. put LSC on the undercard if you're really worried about a lack of ticket sales.
as long as this fight is made i am happy. if it's on the east coast, i'll go. i prefer it in BK. i loved that venue.
wherever matthysse fights next he will sell some tickets. the peterson fight, being a long terms underdog / good guy, and signing with haymon, and getting this huge push from showtime is all paying off.
i think mathysse;s going to do well in his next gate, and amazing on TV.Comment
