Why is he one of the best? Because he's popular? There were other guys who would have been better opponents, Canelo hasn't fought ANYONE even remotely close to what Floyd brings.

Neither have almost all of Floyd's opponents and Canelo has more experience than most of them did.

At least Alvarez has enough sense to realize that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. I like his spiri. However, I still say that his corner will throw in the towel in the 10th round after watching him get bloodied and battered by Mayweather to the point that his own mother won't recognize him.

If Canelo employs the same strategy he used against Trout and he tires late, he will get picked apart big time. Going to the body is his only chance of making it a closer fight. I think he hurts Floyd a couple times in the fight but Floyd wins 116 to 112.

whats worse is that this guy has never been in a big fight.trout was a step up but he would'nt lets his hands go.thats why he got knocked down. mayweather brings all kinds of **** to a fight.

The jab is key but the thing with Floyd is.......he knows how to take your jab away.

1) use lateral movement
2) counter the jab with right hands over the top of his jab
3) Floyd can use his pull counter
4) Floyd can time the jab, duck underneath, get close and work inside
5) Floyd can catch the jab with his right hand then counter with his own jab

There are so many things that Floyd does to take peoples jab away.

De la hoya by far had the best jab of any fight that Floyd ever fought.
But by round 4 Floyd made Delahoya reluctant to throw the jab because he was getting caught with counter right hands.
Cotto was ok with the jab as well but that was a flat footed Floyd who was trying to be entertaining.
If Floyd fights like he did against Guerrero....no fighter will beat him or even touch him.

What a load of crap!....De la Hoya stop trowing the jab because got tired by roun 6 or mid 5th. but not necesarely because floyd was countering at that point de la Hoya did a very good job for the first 5 rounds but in the second half he got tired avandon the jab and the game plan with it.....you don't do that against MAYWEATHER, you don't ever avandon the jab vs floyd same thing with judah he was winning the fight until he left the jab somewhere in the corner and try to get Floyd uot of there with his power left hook. So they both fail and pay for it.

If Canelo can get the knockout Im all for it but I think Mayweather will quit due to injuries when he sees he cant get Canelo out of there and keeps getting hit with a couple of right hand shots.

If Alvarez was to employ a jab consistently he can possibly cause Floyd to open his cagey defense, that's IF Floyd decides to fight flat footed which he seems to do every time he steps up to the 154 division. Using the Jab can also make Mayweather play more offensively which can keep him out of controlling the fight and unbalanced, like what Cotto showed in the middle rounds.

Alvarez can only lose this fight if he tries just body shots and don't keep Mayweather on a tab with a consistent jab

Cotto has a better jab than Canelo. Canelo throws sharper and harder punches though. Canelo will be more open to the straight right hand than Cotto was.
