There ya go, you gotta go back to the biggest stars of the sport for comparison, and even beats those. And Shiming has nowhere near the fighting potential of those guys, but his marketing potential could be ******ed. Arum is a lot of things, but it's no accident he's been around the top of the heap for this long.

Thats another topic, nothing to do with boxing!!!
Promotion companies don't force anyone to sign, their commision is stated up front and its their money that runs the show! Top Rank did an outstanding job with Pacman and if you knew anything about boxing you would know that. prChamp; However I can tell by your language you know very little about anythng!

All of the articles about Mannys financial woes totally contradict your first sentence

Shiming is horrible though. Leonard and Delahoya were real deals.

Don't disagree, plus he's old, but they can milk him for a while. I doubt the plan is match him with the divisions best any time soon. But a belt is coming asap. It's all good, it's for the spread of boxing.

Maybe cause they finally have a credible alternative. You remember Bob's been talking about Macau for years, and it became a joke, like Dubai? Well things finally snapped in place, and the numbers tell the story. Chess, not checkers.

Shiming was paid 300k for his 4 rounder pro-debut... Pacquiao will receive quite the purse.

Shimming is a hometown superstar before the debut though. Pac is Fillipino, he'll get the check just because of his name but I don't think it'll be any higher than his normal purses, especially considering his last two fights and his current opposition
