All that is a big bowl of excuses that any boxer can use for their defeats, but guess what? Life happens, everybody got to deal with aches and pains and life events. Nonito was healthy and able enough to step into the ring that night, he and his fans should be manly enough to accept the fact that he got taken to school by the better guy that night.

What we saw was the real deal, it doesn't necessarily mean the same thing will happen. if he comes back with a couple of good performances, I would be interested in seeing a rematch, but take that do-over nonsense somewhere else.
I don't want to hear that Donaire deserves an immediate 2nd chance because he underestimated Rigo. That is his fault, he has to earn another shot at the now champ.

I may be wrong about this, but I think Nonito has lost a lot of his hunger for fighting. His wife and their expected new kid has become the number one thing in his life.

He'll only go up if and when Mares and Garcia move onto bigger and better things. Even when Mares said he'd come down, Rigonducked.

Donaire did have problems during camp but let's be honest, Rigo was on fire that night and outboxed the guy. Do I want to see a rematch? Of course, these are still the two best guys in the division. Why the hell not?

                Amazing. Sig-worthy in fact.

The option I was looking for in that poll was...
Yes Rigondeaux should fight him again If he wants another pay-day.
I won't get into talking about the outcome of the fight.

Then who near Rigondeaux's level be worthy of fighting him?

You're point is invalid, Rigondeaux will want the fight and most of all want the fight providing him most funds which will undoubtedly be either Donaire or Mares.

So only two fighters around basically in that division are going to see him earn the most coin.

As for me, I think Donaire would fair better in a rematch. All the greats lose but come back to avenge. I feel Donaire is great so he would fair better. However I can't say that he wins because the style match up is all wrong for him.
Just as Donaire would fair better, so would Rigo, with both guys having been familiar with each other. I think Donaire presses the action this time and gets hurt earlier.
