IBF/WBA "regular" super middleweight champion Carl Froch told the BBC that he would be willing to have a rematch with Andre Ward in Las Vegas. Froch had previously stated he would only fight Ward in the UK. But Froch seems to have budged from his position and says he is open to facing Ward in the United States - if the fight lands in a Las Vegas venue.

Comments like this are why Ward shouldn't bother with this fight unless he's going over to the UK. People will just call Las Vegas "Oakland" like they do with Atlantic City and the first fight.

This article makes Froch look like a fool. He says he will go to Vegas because it's a different state with it's own commissioner.

Well so is New Jersey, where they fought the first time.

Only difference is that Las Vegas shares a border with California and is within driving distance for Ward fans. Unlike Atlantic City, a neutral venue, which requires a 5 hour plane ride from CA.

Froch's logic makes less than zero sense. However, I will chalk it up to the same ignorance of American geography that every European poster also displays on this forum.
