I think he is referring to the culmination of his acheivements which DO outweigh Calzaghes.

The one thing Froch ought to do is unify some titles, and then defend them that would top JC's legacy for sure because JC never defended any belt other than the minor WBO one.

He would have flown for a big fight which he did in his last two fights. Otherwise, why travel if you make good money at home? Pretty much the same thing that Froch is realising right now.

but Cal didn't make the really big money fighting domestics. that's why he travelled at the end instead of facing a queue of dangerous legit opponents who would have given him a lot of trouble at age 36. He wanted to retire whilst still post prime rich AND stay undefeated. Facing the now faded old legends satisfied both needs.

Froch did make that "strange" remark in regards to him being the top fighter if he were to beat Ward. Because Floyd doesn't have too many fights in him? Even if he were to retire before him? Too bad Joe is a bit too old now, because a fight between him and Froch would have been a good one, I think. Froch is good and durable. Joe and Ward would have been interesting as well. Shame... Bro when did you start watching boxing in 2004? I say it again. I remember when both Roy Jones and B-Hop had the opportunity to fight Calzage none of them wanted anything to do with him. Calzaghe was THAT NICE. he won his title from Eubanks and Eubanks was mauling dudes at the time. He beat the fight out of Jeff Lacy made him look silly and at that time Jeff Lacy was a monster over here in the US. He beat a Kessler that later Beat froch. He is from the same Era of boxing as Roy, Bernard, and James Toney. Thay all could have fought him and chose not to. You have to respect Calzaghe's Legacy. That man was a beast in the ring.

Bro did you know there is footage of roy jones talking about why he never went to england to fight joe. He was close friends with Gerald Mclellan and he said when he saw that fight and how events transpired surrounding that fight. It made him reluctant to go over to the uk to fight. It must hurt Calzaghe that if Jones, Toney, Hopkins, Steiglitz and Froch had fought stiffs like Joe did for ten years, they'd all have 50-0 unbeaten records. But where is the challenge in that? No one wants to take a **** route like Joe Calzaghe does.

It would be a boring SMW division too, with all the good fighters having 50-0 unbeaten records but never fighting anyone of note.
