Someone on this very site has Joe's quote about 'lookind for big money fights and not tough fights like Jones' as their signature...it wasn't on Jones.
Bro did you know there is footage of roy jones talking about why he never went to england to fight joe. He was close friends with Gerald Mclellan and he said when he saw that fight and how events transpired surrounding that fight. It made him reluctant to go over to the uk to fight. Joe was his mandatory in 97, 98, 99 and what did roy do? he fought cabdrivers and stock boys. then he started jumping up in weight. HE DID NOT WANT TO FIGHT CALZAGHE!!! True Hardcore Boxing Fans know this. See the problem with boxing fans is like Paulie said "what have you done for me lately" Froch started coming on as Joe was on his way out. I am willing to bet everything I own if calzaghe came out of retirement he would whoop froch!!! I can tell from the comments alot of guys on here didn't start watching boxing until ten years ago. I have been a hard core boxing fan since 1986 when Tyson was out here whoopin ass. and I remember Roy's career clearly as he was one of my favorites but truth be told he never really fought anybody that the true fans wanted to see him fight. he was the supreme cherry picker...lol when he finally fought Tarver look what happened. Calzaghe in my Opinion is by far an all time great SMW!!!

And I like Carl, just not so much that I'm blind to obvious facts.
And your view of Calzaghe? Is he a "great?"

Look at Calzaghe's achievements. Look at Froch's.

Did Froch say he's an ATG? NO.

He said he's one of the greatest British fighters.

You're clearly blind to obvious facts no offense. Carl Froch is perhaps one of the least athletic, gimpiest, least skilled, slowest guys ever to accomplish as much as he has. You wouldn't know what greatness is if it hit you in the face.

This is just as big a heap of **** as the people that say Calzaghe hid from Jones. They just didn't cross paths because they were in different divisions.

Calzaghe was never Jones' mandatory. Joe became mandatory for Steve Collins' WBO Super Middleweight belt. Collins retired and Joe won the belt from Eubank. Roy Jones was already at Light Heavyweight in 1997. Stop with the nonsense.

Froch has the better resume and the stiffer competition throughout his career. Calzaghe just has a 0 and and good wins over Bhop and Jr.

Head to head it might be a good fight but sorry Joe, Froch has you everywhere else.

The funny thing is, Froch didn't even mention his name. It sure does show you how butt hurt Calslappy still is.

calzaghe said he didn't want to fight jones unless it was for all the crown ***els. aka he doesn't want to fight him.
he also said he doesn't want tough fights he just wants to make money.
he also said he was scared of flying and that's why he cant fight him or any other good fighter.

                    so yes he did hide.
