If Canelo can fix his stamina, he will be fine...if not, Money will undress him fast.

First Half
I think this fight is CAN be pretty exciting for the first half. Canelo surprised me with his lateral movement and comparable hand speed (to Trout) in their fight. He also cut off the ring effectively (from time to time). So he hits hard and he is light on his feet; that gives him a better than average chance to do some damage to any part of Mayweather's body that he makes connection with (head, body, arms, shoulders). That being said, NO ONE has Mayweather's superior footwork. He just makes his opponents fight his type of fight and stifles their attempts to land because they can't set/plant their feet before they throw. When they do; they're off balance and get countered. I don't care what anyone says about Mayweather's lack of power, but those counters don't feel like pillows. Just ask De La Hoya why he stopped using his jab. In the end, Mayweather is as smart inside the ring as he is outside...those two pounds are going to hurt Canelo A LOT going into the second half of the fight. I must disagree with Mr. Hunter that the two pounds won't make a difference. To a fat guy like me it wouldn't make a difference, but to someone who is already pushing the limit (you could see his stamina waning in the latter half of the Trout fight) it's going to be a huge factor in my opinion. Soy Mexicano-Americano and my heart is with the fighter who shares my family heritage. However, I'm also a boxing fan and logical; Canelo will more than likely lose by decision unless he tires out and gets TKO'd.
Something else - What if Canelo's power isn't THAT devastating? He wouldn't have a shot in heck if that were the case.

I don't think staminas going to be a huge issue in this fight. Floyd doesn't pump out the jab like Trout, and he's not going to be super active, because Canelo can move his head, and has crisp, powerful counters.
The more I think about it, the better chance I give Canelo.
Floyd's jab is quicker than Canelo's head, and the counters he dishes are coming at Floyd's shoulder.
You have to take into account that Floyd's a lot quicker and more active than Trout. So the defense, head movement and counters you saw Canelo showcasing will look a little different when he's in there with a speedy son of a gun like Floyd.

cherrypicker will potshot, the ginger will gas, and cherrypicker might possibly stop the ginger.... the ginger's corner might throw in the towel cause cherrypicker is hitting him with such clean shots. If the ginger doesn't lose by wide margins, GBP might pay the judges to score the fight close so that the ginger can get a rematch.
