Ortiz was 164 lbs on fight night vs Mayweather That's 17 lbs above the 147 lb weight limit. Or 12% above 147.

Canelo coming in at 171 on fight night is also 17 lbs over 154 lbs, or 11% above 154 lbs.

Anyway I hope Canelo weighs in at like 153.4 lbs lol

Canelo is perfectly fine fighting at 152, and how he's looking at it is pretty mature and thoughtful. Heh, if only the haters on this site had a scintilla of Canelo's integrity.

Lol, I just looked at the HBO tale of the tape for that bout. I had no idea that Ortiz was practically a super middleweight come fight night...

Hold up, Floyd has fought at 154 pounds twice already. Didn't Floyd said he fights his opponents at a weight were they are healthy.

Floyd has never fought at 154 pounds he has never been over that in the ring on fight night lol , he has fought former LWs and JWWS that grew into small 154s .

Was Cotto and Margo healthly or drained when fighting Pac at those CWs whats your opinion on that ?

I meant by 154 pounds is the 154 pound division, not saying he weigh in at 154.

What does it have to with Pac? Were talking about Mayweather saying he fights his opponents at a healthy weight.

Cotto said he was not comfortable at that weight. If Canelo says he's not comfortable with it then that's understandable. Canelo say's he's good with it and we should be too. Hat's off to both gentlemen.

Clearly he wasn't happy about it, but did it to get the fight done:

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez: Floyd Mayweather must face me at 154 pounds, I can't go lower
Floyd was happy to concede 154 to Cotto, but not this time for some reason. Maybe cause Cotto had asked for a 150 CW in his previous fight?
