I tried to say this last weekend on another forum, and basically got my **** pushed in by every single person.

Judges had it 116-112, 117-111 for a reason. I won't mention the other one.

Sounds about right, it was a pretty competitive fight in spots. Canelo was staying competitive with Floyd for the first five rounds (probably won 2 of 5) landing some hard power jabs, but then his corner told him to chase and press Floyd and it went down hill for Alvarez from then on. He also gassed late in the fight, but sometimes went back to some of the things that had worked for him before like the 1-2. He won round 12 mostly because Mayweather decided to close the show running and possibly picked up another round somewhere in-between. 116-112 or 117-111

I don't see why after every performance some people always pretend Mayweather pitched a shut out... the truth is he regularly gives away 2-4 rounds a fight.

This is what frustrates alot of boxing fans about Floyd's style. He lacks a killer instinct. He could have his opponent completely outclassed yet will still resort to throwing jabs and pot shots without going in for the kill. Granted his style works for him but this is why he gets criticized and called "boring". He's like the Tim Duncan of boxing.

Its hard to even give Canelo a round. The word "dominate" can be used or seen differently in many ways. He dominated Canelo on the score board. Did he bloody Canelo up? No, but does that really matter? Was he suppose to? We all knew going in that most likely Floyd would win an easy 12 rounds decision. He did "dominate" Canelo because the fight wasn't even close. People need to learn what the word "dominate" actually means before using it.

Ding ding ding... You knew exactly who I was addressing. I'm impressed. The difference between controlling and dominating is slight at best. Alvarez wasn't bloodied, but he did nothing to blunt Mayweather's offense. Except for the last round it was a white wash.

A whitewash? I dont know what fight you watched but the first 4-5 rounds neither fighter did anything significant enough to say that they dominated or CLEARLY won the round. To say the first 11 rounds was a whitewash is saying that each round was completely dominated by Floyd. Most rounds were competitive with Floyd edging them out by landing better and more frequent shots on Canelo than Canelo was able to land on him.

I said it from the start, Floyd wasn't gonna stop Canelo a guy who's significantly bigger. Floyd hit Cotto with everything not that long ago, it took up until the end of the 12th to hurt Miguel and Cotto is a small Jr MW. It's more of Floyd having an understanding of what's in front of him. A

I watched the same fight you did. I bet even you would agree that even in the rounds you claim were uneventful, any significant punch landed in those rounds were by Mayweather. Like I said, people will say whatever they want to make themselves feel better about this fight. However, the only people even entertaining the thought of a less than dominating performance are the ones that don't like Mayweather. Seems like you're one of them.

The difference between "domination" and controlling the fight to these clowns is that "domination" equals more power punching while "controlling" the fight means more jabs. And since Floyd relied more on his jab than his power punches people are going to say he didn't dominate this fight.

Which is silly considering that there wasn't one round Canelo outlanded

canelo was getting jabbed to death for the first 4 rounds...........jabs were snapping his head back. (canelo would land a glancing blow or 2 at best if that at all) the rounds weren't competitive for the first 5 rounds. they were fought as a chest match & you could clearly see mayweather doing a bit more in each of those rounds to take them.

i have no clue what you were watching...........
