Watched the fight sober tonight and it seemed more competitive tonight than it did last Sat. Floyd certainly won but I didnt see the dominance that everyone spoke of. The first 4-5 rounds were pretty even rounds that neither fighter dominated nor clearly won. There were about 3-4 rounds that Floyd CLEARLY won. He resorted to one and done punching and never completely overwhelmed, hurt, or had Alvarez in any type of trouble what so ever and vice versa. At the end of the day he was able to lay more leather than Alvarez was able to lay on him and that was the story of the fight although Alvarez was able to land some nice solid shots on Floyd here and there.

I agree, people who are calling the fight a shutout just make me laugh, quite easy to see early on in the fight and in the very end Floyd really wasn't doing much at all.

i enjoyed the fight more than i did last week didn't find it that competitve seeing as alvarez didn't land anything clearly

one thing i noticed was danny vs mattysse was closer than i had it last week i had it 114 -112 this week

I tried to say this last weekend on another forum, and basically got my **** pushed in by every single person.

Judges had it 116-112, 117-111 for a reason. I won't mention the other one.

From what I was reading here prior to watching the replay tonight, I was expecting to see a Floyd/Gatti type dominance. Floyd never hurt Alvarez and basically just outpointed him and used alot of movement.

I've watched the fight a few times now and each time I thought Canelo made some rounds competitive but he still clearly lost the rounds. I could only give Canelo 3 rounds at the most. But he gave a good account for himself in many of the rounds but he did not win them. I think ppl are swayed at times when Mayweather gets hit with a good punch in a round because they're not used to seeing him get hit and they look for rounds to give to his opponent. Hell in round 3 the crowd got excited because Mayweather reacted to a faint by Canelo.
