This is what I don't get about boxing fans.

Why do you expect a fighter to fight in a way, that would make him lose? That's ******.

Over trained - Mayweather hasn't fought twice in 1 year in about 6 years, he was 150lbs 30 days before the fight. People are overlooking that Mayweather could have over trained for this fight, he was gasping for air in that public workout when he was doing the speed bag telling people to step back so he could get some air. I'm not saying that's a clear sign but he looked a little rusty when just a few weeks back he looked better on another ustream workout he had.

Maybe he was just having a bad day but he didn't look like vintage Mayweather.

Hand problems - He admittedly hurt his hands against Guerrero and less then 1-2 months he's back in the gym? How's he going to keep Canelo off if he were to injure his hand again? To get Canelo's respect he's going to have to put some hurting on him and with a busted hand that could be a huge problem.

Canelo is really good/Smart - He's a fighter who has shown to adapt his style and come in with a great game plan, Mayweather might have a false sense of confidence from fighting the "Toe to Toe" Zombie in Guerrero and might have bit off more then he can chew.

Canelo is getting no respect around here but I can't remember the last Mayweather fight where I thought there was a good chance of him losing.
He asked for more air in the speed bag not for people to step back so he could get some air.

I get the feeling some fans expect a fighter who's strong point is boxing to just stand there, still, and not move for once, so that the brawler can get a good solid shot at his chin and knock him out.

YES!! With Floyd they expect him to fight in a style that is not his comfort. Kinda like the kid you use to race as being young that use to ask for a Headstart.
            It's sad really.

Some fighters have paid the price for being so bending to critics.
Look at Leonard Vs Duran 1...If Leonard would have simply boxed he would have stayed Undefeated and got a EASY UD against Duran..instead he tried to fight and brawlers fight and got beat.

2nd fight he fought his style and won easily.

Floyd has to win this fight for the good of boxing and I want to see him retire undefeated. I think it sends a good message to up and coming boxers to perfect your craft, stay disciplined and fight your fight.

If you keep fighting and keep winning, the money will come.

Floyd Mayweather can be hit. But can Canelo land any effective combinations is the real question. If he can then he has a real chance. Because I don't think Canelo has enough power to knock out Floyd Mayweather with one punch, especially after the first four rounds. Great fighters get hit with one punch. Great fighters don't get hit by combinations. That's the difference in this fight for me.

Naazim Richardson thinks Floyd could get robbed against Canelo

Saw this posted on Yahoo today. Richardson says:
"The problem with the Canelo fight is that finally Floyd is fighting somebody that they ain't afraid to rob him with," Richardson told Percy Crawford of Fighthype back in July. "If Canelo fight the same fight that Cotto did or Oscar, Canelo gets a draw. They ain't got no problem putting the business on this guy because they feel like they can move forward with this guy. The Cotto or the Oscar fight happens again and Canelo gets a draw easy. And then everybody gets money on both of 'em. They are still both undefeated and both can say they feel like they won. The first person to give Floyd a blemish, if it happens, it's mandatory that you go back at him. You give Floyd a blemish and Floyd earns another shot no matter what happens."

Not sure i agree with this and hope it doesn't come down to some BS like Pac/Bradely. I am rooting hard for my boy Canelo but want the best man to win.

After Manny Pacquiao was robbed in the Bradley fight ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
Also factor in that Canelo is marketable and Bradley is not...factor in Sulaiman, factor in the power of Schafer and Delahoya, factor in the pro Mexican crowd that Bradley did not have in the Manny fight.

It's as clear as day that if its a tough fight...with Canelo atlest winning 5 rounds...Canelo wins a SD or a draw.
