It happens but there are weight classes for a reason, weight matters big time.

Thank you captain obvious...the issue here is how much it matters. And it really doesnt because Floyd has fought big guys before and so have other elite stars before him.

its only an issue now because his new jack fanboy groupies dont know **** about boxing and they have to worship him in every way

I think this fight could prove to be a huge mistake for Floyd, Canelo is too big.

Arum had fights with Rios/Alvarado and the 4th fight with Marquez, all 3 which would do at least as big of a gate as Bradley. The Mayweather fight would still be talked about as well coming off of that impressive win over Bradley. Bradley is not a draw. Never has been, never will be.

I think it was nothing more than bad judging. Bradley won round 10. Rounds 1,2,11 and 12 could have gone either way. At worst if you gave Bradley every close round the score would be 7-5 Pacquiao. What ****ed it up was the judges giving rounds 5 and 7 to Bradley.
I respect your points but this fight wasn't close IMO. I had tim winning rds 10-12. One of the worst robberies I've seen, not as bad as sweet pea/ramirez but just a notch below.

Manny lsoing made the fights you are talking about viable. If manny beats bradley who thinks rios or alvarado have any chance? Remember you have to think like a casual fan.

I'm not a big conspiracy person either. But this wreaked.

both VO and Cotto weighed high 160s on fight night. this whole weight whining is a joke.

and even if he never fought someone bigger...who the truck cares? did duran, SRL, etc fight bigger men--and beat them? sure did.

Canelo is still bigger than those two.

How many punches do you guys think will be thrown in this fight total(both fighters' total punches added up)?

                  Under 1000 for sure.

Canelo 157 lbs on the week before weigh in.

                    The weight should be fine.

That's pretty low makes me think he'll also come in lighter fight night.
