I don't think anyone is pissed at Floyd for doing what he does. Why would he change it? He is one of the best of all time, maybe the best. Changing it would be like Michael Jordan deciding to hang back and play defense.
People are frustrated with Canelo. I like Canelo. I think he is a very exciting fighter. As soon as the fight started, I could see he was nervous and thought he was going to lose. His body language told the story.
Whoever in his camp that thought that fighting Floyd's kind of fight was a good idea is idiotic. Canelo had to bring his style to the ring tonight, and he didn't. He tried to be Floyd. But nobody in the world is better at being Floyd and Floyd , and so Canelo got his ass handed to him.Comment

I wanted Floyd to lose, because I don't like his person, but I like him in the ring because he often impressed me. Tonight he beat a young and strong champion I thought was going to KO Floyd. Look at my post history (I know you won't) and tell me how I was describing how "floyd toys wit canelo".
The people that says that Floyd runs/pitpats are just as bad as the Floyd Money Team stans.Last edited by mudpunch; 09-15-2013, 01:11 AM.Comment

It wouldnt be my personal choice- but it makes the most sense for all parties concerned.
Mayweather- would be great money and a low risk fight, also get to fight in the UK which is something he wanted to do.
Khan- great money and HUGE publicity from it, would be practically a free fight for Khan if he loses too, but if he wins he would be right at the top again.
Promoters- $$$$$$$$$
I dont see any other opponent out there that ticks all the boxes other than Khan (and Manny, but unlikely to ever happen)Comment

I don't think there is a correct way to enjoy boxing (which is why people calling each other "not real fans" is ******). If you enjoy watching boxing, then you are a boxing fan.Seeing a person that has practically mastered the tactical side of boxing while also putting himself in the best physical shape possible is extremely impressive though.
Seeing 2 boxers punch lumps out of each other for 12 rounds is fun, but its not really what boxing is about is it?- i find Mayweather fights fascinating to watch.
For me, I don't like fights where there isn't drama. I like drama. My ideal fight is two guys slugging it out, putting their heart into it, and it swings back and forth and there are times when each guy looks like they are about to lose.
The kind of fight that you can't help but cheer for the loser as much as the winner, because they showed you heart you didn't know existed.
Those are also the kind of fights that win fight of the year and go down in the history books as amazing fights.
Floyd's fights are technically much better than that kind of fight, but not as interesting to watch, IMO.
Just like I'd rather watch Metallica play than a couple of master guitarists from some music school.Comment
