Cotto got 1.5 million peak viewers against an unknown Trout. Canelo got 1 million peak viewers against a known Trout riding a Cotto win. Is Mayweather-Canelo even bigger than Mayweather-Cotto, let alone Mayweather-Hoya?

Omg why are people so imbeciles here???? Cotto did those views by coming off a good loss against mayweather while being in numerous PPV against pac as well tell me who had more exposure before????? Trout has never been that guy that brings people in and canelo manage to get 1 million views without ever headlining a PPV and without ever fighting pac or pbf you tell me whats more impressive pendejo.

This fight do better than Mayweather-Cotto did at 1.5 million for several reasons. Its the biggest fight that can possibly be made in boxing right now for one. Indications point to Mayweather-Guerrero being a successful PPV because the general market carried the fight. Add the Mexican market to that and you likely have a fight that produces 1.7-2 million buys. This fight will also have GBP complete promotional muscle behind it with this fight having 3.5 months to be promoted. It actually would have been better if this deal got done a bit earlier but there is still plenty of time and I expect them to do more promoting than they did for the Guerrero fight.
