Now ontto the fight why are people so sure this is a ploy to get bon arum to move JMM vs bradley fight a month later we will see an injury from floy not because he is scared but because it makes more sense to build the kid up more and make that fight the last of pbd multififht contract
Dude Cotto-Trout was not on Pay Perview it was free showtime, anyone can get those numbers when its not on ppv,

Same here....he always said pac was wrong on catchweights and said cotto was undefeated bcuz pac didnt beat the best cotto...and here he does the same....catchweights r b/s...neither gets credit for victory,if canelo wins it wad bcuz floyd had to go up...if floyd wind its bcuz canelo was drained....but floyd is the one who didnt want to go up

stop Floyd is the money man and Canelo weighed 153 last fight, he will be outweighed by 20 pounds on fight night if 22 year old kid cant lose 1 pound its bc he is not discipline, Bhop fought his whole career at 160 and when he fought Oscar he came in at 155lbs. 2 pounds isnt anything

Indications point to Mayweather-Guerrero being a successful PPV because the general market carried the fight. Add the Mexican market to that and you likely have a fight that produces 1.7-2 million buys. This fight will also have GBP complete promotional muscle behind it with this fight having 3.5 months to be promoted. It actually would have been better if this deal got done a bit earlier but there is still plenty of time and I expect them to do more promoting than they did for the Guerrero fight.
Some new info? This came out today:

              http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbade...t-payday-ever/

Showtime and others outside the network insist the Guerrero fight will narrowly beat the one million mark once everything is counted, while other boxing insiders told Forbes that the fight is likely to top out at 875,000 buys. Either figure has to be a disappointment. Showtime boss Stephen Espinoza told Forbes before the Guerrero fight that it was trending better than Mayweather’s Victor Ortiz fight in 2011 (1.25 million buys) and had an outside shot at the Miguel Cotto bout in 2012 (1.5 million).

Mayweather’s guarantee for the Guerrero fight was $32 million, tied for the biggest ever in boxing, but his additional haul from his cut of PPV revenue is expected to be minimal. The large Mayweather guarantee and significant promotional budget resulted in a loss of as much as $12 million for Showtime for the fight, according to sources.

And Mayweather-Mosley was going to do 3 million.

                This won't even hit 2, I don't think.

Let's not forget it's on showtime....Canelo did 1.1 mil on free tv in his last fight and Floyd did under 1 mil on ppv in his last fight so I'm predicting 1.5-1.8 mil but I hope they do 100 milion for making this fight

It will definitely be a good fight but Showtime sucks! What Showtime needs to do is offer a free weekend preview of its channels heading into the fight night. Showtime needs the U.S. PPV buys to break the PPV record, Canelo at his age is still unknown to most Americans here in the States. The fight can break the 2.5 M barrier but it's up to Showtime to make it happen, it is the main attraction!
