here's a compromise, forget the catchweight, have the weigh in 1 hour before the fight. Both weigh 154 or less and neither has a weight advantage

Very hypocritical of Floyd who is a jr middleweight titlist and said he wants to fight guys at their best weight, but two lbs shouldn't make much of a difference.

I didn't think it would happen so soon though.

Anyway now people know Floyd Sr doesn't speak for Floyd.

Floyd Sr said they wanted it below 154 and closer to 147. They knew they wouldn't get Canelo to say yes to 147 so they negotiated and got that magic number 152.

Floyd Sr was also the initial spokesman for stating that there was something "wrong" with Manny coming up and beating big Cotto. Then later we hear very very similar statements from Floyd Jr and uncle Roger. Now does Floyd Jr take or agree with everything Floyd Sr states? Of course not but I'm sure he at least listens and sometimes agrees.

They take Mayweather serious in the ring. I understand where it all comes from but I couldn't imagine this fight was going to happen at all or at least not this fast. It is what the fans want and Canelo has much more advantages then Pacquiao ever had against Mayweather. Mayweather is really taking a risk here even if u think Canelo is raw or inexperienced u can guarantee he is coming to win cuz he know nothing else and he definetly has enough advantages to do it. I think its all cuz nobody expected this fight to happen and now that it has the only excuse left for anyone if Mayweather schools Canelo will be the catchweight. So let's start now.

Well people got what they wanted now they complain. Canelo is the one who said he would feel comfortable making 152 but people are questioning it... I would rather the fight to be at 154 but w/e. If Canelo says hes can make the weight with no issue then people should not be complaining about this.

For the crap Floyd talked about fighting guys at their best weights in order to make Pacquiao look bad for fighting Cotto at 145. Its simply hypocrisy and why mostly nobody takes Floyd seriously.

Pac vs. Cotto at 145, both fighters were at a disadvantage. Pac never fought a true welterweight before then so he drained Cotto. Floyd vs. Canelo at 152, only Canelo is at a disadvantage because Floyd fought true jr. middleweights in his past fights.
