Someone Explain Why Ward is Rated So High P4P?

There were A LOT of people who thought Bute could outpoint Froch, I sadly was one of them. It's only the second time in Froch's career that I picked against him.

And to answer the OP question, Ward imo is top 4 p4p based on his high skill level, unbeaten record and beating Froch. Froch is the second best SMW out there and Ward won at least 8 of the 12 rounds and apart from taking a sweet right hand towards the end, never looked troubled. It's enough to get him into the p4p rankings imo.

Having said that, Ward hasn't got a terrific resume if you take away Froch.

I honestly don't know. What's so impressive about headbutting/clinching 89+ times to gain an edge in a fight? What's so impressive about beating a drained Chad Dawson whilst refusing to fight him at a CW when proposed? Add in being inactive all the time and that just seals the deal. He's not even top 5 on my list.

Froch wasn't the second best. People still thought Kessler and Bute were better than Froch. I thought Marquez was better than Manny skill wise so Floyd's win over Marquez is better

pac for me even after that KTFO still better than marquez skillwise so unless floyd beats a 2nd best who is pac? he wont be able to compare againts wards win againts the 2nd best in the weight in froch

when u think of 2nd best @ 147 skillwise dont tell me u pick marquez which is not even from that weight :////

Marquez has much better skills than Pacquiao. Pacquiao just had Top Rank judges to help him out.

Froch is the #2 SMW now. But wasn't when he and Ward fought. Bute and Kessler were still thought to be better

I doubt he's even if your top 25. He should be begging for a rematch with Bika if he wins the vacant WBC belt.
