You can sort of see his point of view though. He's the MAN at SMW, why should he have to travel?

He'd get mad respect from me if he fought Carl over here. Can't see it though.
Like I said already: no rush...
Ward would take a tune up fight first, after surgery...
Hearn is playing "the no choice" mantra in order to pay Ward less than Andre would ask...

(And what if B-Hop arrives first in London for catch weight fight -- no belts on the table?)

I think Ward should come over to the UK for his own sake. Ward is rightly put inside most people's P4P top 3, and he definitely would beat Froch again imo and possibly stop him if Froch got too brave. Saying that tho, Ward just isn't that recognised outside of real boxing fans, and Froch is riding a real wave of popularity now throughout the boxing world and is crossing over to a household name in the UK. So if I was advising Ward, I'd be like go to UK, fight in front of a massive audience and take Froch's two belts in devastating fashion.

Yeah Ward doesn't HAVE to come to the UK strictly speaking. But if he wants to have the status to match his skills, I think he does NEED to.

Big star Ward can do whatever he wants -- that is beg Hearn to give him the UK Froch II fight for a substantial purse.
Do we need a drawing for this?

Frock thinks he's he-man in the UK after his big win v Bute. Wasn't the Kessler fight in UK at the weekend and Froch just done enough to win. I don't understand why ward has 2 come over these shores when he's the one who holds a win? Anyways if it happens same outcome but by more of a landslide

Yes please, that would be most helpful.

Money talks... Does Ward even sell out in Oakland, Atlantic City or Vegas? Does Froch sell out in UK, 18k tickets in 3 hour, plus UK ppv. That's what kind of fanbase & respect you get by going on the road and having wars in someones else backyard.

If i was Ward, i would demand no less than a 3 Million dollar guarantee and a 60/40 gate/tv/ppv revenue split across to board. And Steve Smoger as a ref! Or Froch can kindly fuck off and wallow in your inferiority to me.

If Ward continues on his current track of dominance, and remains consistent. It'll pay off for him in the end. That big name fighter will eventually rise thru the weight classes and net him the payday and exposure that he's been looking for.

That's what I'm saying.. If Ward is as good as we all think he is, then this is the time to concede a little at the negotiating table, put on a big show in front of a big worldwide audience in someone else's backyard then reap the rewards that come after.

Think the split would need to be 50/50 straight tho. Froch brings a lot to the table.

Smoger has reffed Ward's last two fights, I can't see him reffing the next one.

It's already been done (im sure the vast majority of the UK's population possess television sets) and in embarrassingly lopsided fashion. He made Froch look like a low-grade sparring partner with one frickin hand!

He should only take an utterly useless rematch such as this, if there's a high financial incentive to do so.

A fight with Chavez Jr. would probably do more for his future potential drawing power, but in a larger market.

Everything outside of the prospect of having the chance to actually win.

So what the fugg is the point?
