If Ward wants it he should take it. Why not? More fans in London than Oakland. Makes sense

Luis Pabon (Puerto Rico) would be better -- he was the ref in the Ward vs Abraham fight...

Pabon is amous for saying "Nobody throw nobody throw" during clinches -- which would be good against Ward.
Also, Pabon repeatedly warns for hitting behind the head -- wich would be good against Froch...

A fight with Chavez Jr. would probably do more for his future potential drawing power, but in a larger market.

Everything outside of the prospect of having the chance to actually win.

So what the fugg is the point?
Yes, I think the vast majority of the UK do own TV sets. Super Six wasn't on PPV tho, the Super 6 final was on at about 2am UK time and no one other than real boxing fans I know paid it that much attention. Froch has really crossed over in the last 12 months or so, and selling out a 18k arena in 3hrs and being on PPV shows this.

I agree about Chavez Jr too... But until he decides to move up to 168lbs and stops smoking weed, what is Ward gonna do next that gets him anywhere near as much $$$ or exposure?? There's nothing there for him homeboy.

It's not about wanting, it's about not having other choice...

Now there's also the issue of timing -- Ward will need a tune-up fight after surgery, and Froch would take another big fight this fall...

Any 'fan' who thinks Ward doesn't have to do this is delusional. Yeah, he can avoid it... but where the he!! else does he get a paycheck like that?

Let's see what Hearn is offering him... Hearn knows Ward has his back against the wall...

Doesn't Ward fight in front of only 1000 people, in his actual hometown?. Everyone knows whats up.

Team Froch appears to be trying really hard to yap themselves right outta a Ward rematch.

Froch could obviously fight Kessler again in a trilogy and wait for Ward to heal. Froch will deserve more money though if Ward let's this happen, and doesn't strike right now though

2 wins over Kessler, Abraham, Bute, Dirrell and the fan favourite.... Ward will have to bow to taking less money.

Ward is the top dog at 168 and would whip Froch's ass again but it's true, he really has no other fight. It's kinda sad but it's the sad truth. He's in a tough spot. If I was him, I'd move up to lhw just so I can fight some new guys.
