I had it 6-5 Froch going into the final round and Froch winning that round so

    7-5 Froch

    Good fight.

There wasn't a clear winner in the first fight. It could have gone either way.

Froch outlanded Kessler in both fights.

While watching the first fight 3 years ago, I was surprised how Froch occasionally outjabbed Kessler who at the time had one of the best jabs in the business. I regret not taking that observation in consideration when I made my pick as Kessler's jab has deteriorated quite a bit. Still I felt that Kessler's aggression would be the key towards a KO win. That aggression was not there for those 3 rounds and that was crucial. I reckon it's the froch jab that made the difference.

And still the 11th nearly gave that KO.

Anyway it was a great fight. And a great fight for Kessler to ride on into retirement. I hope.
Froch was closer to getting the KO in the 12th

              10. Kessler
              11. Kessler
              12. Froch

              6-6 Draw.

Watched Sky Sports version only, which was highly biased towards Froch. So my scorecards weren't influenced by anything, just going by what I saw. I wasn't too crazy about Froch's jabs, I liked Kessler power punching more. But it was a draw in my eyes.

Froch by 3 rounds, stronger, fitter and jabbed his way to victory. No complaints on the results of both fights. It would be nice to see a third although I feel Kessler with the longer career is starting to show emotional battle scars now.

                Both true fighters.

115-113 Froch I can live with but it was closer than most people saw.

Froch´s workrate was very high!, but Kessler blocked a lot of them. I can see how some might think Kessler got outworked by Froch and yes Froch poked him quite often with his weird jab, but besides that Kessler landed the better and cleaner shots, stats say 53% of his power-punches.
Not trying to take anything away from Froch who was better than ever IMO, but to me Kessler lost the fight in round 1-3.
But even if Kessler had won round 1-3 I dont think he would have won by decision in the UK, with a scorecard of 118-110 we better have some law preventing women from scoring any fight ever again.

I watched this fight 5 times now, one of them in slow motion and my conclusion is the same, I dont argue giving Froch the victory 115-113. But if you have the time to analyze this fight and watch it in slow motion you will see it was a lot closer than you did the first time. Im sure you didnt reward Kessler for any of the punches Froch blocked, but Im sure you did it the other way around. Froch is always solid planted on his feet compaired to Kessler who is up on his toes, because of this Kessler was "moved" by the puches he blocked quite often, Froch wasnt. Add the nearly 20.000 english fans screaming everytime Froch threw a punch, this will influence everyone scoring the fight for sure.

Its another case of quantity vs quality, like I said I will give it to Froch 115-113, had Kessler started before round 4 it would have been different.

BTW ref wasnt about to stop Kessler in round 12, if you watch close enough you will see why he was about to go between them.

Ironically my scorecard was EXACTLY the same as Raskat - 11 rounds even 1 round for Kessler this was a clear robbery!! !
