Same again this time around. Froch clearly won, but another close fight. the 118-110 card was a disgrace!

As I've said elsewhere, all of the bull**** about sparring stories meant nothing in the end, as we knew. Kessler really brought it. I was concerned after the first 3 rounds, but then he got into it. There were ways he could have won this fight. Few little changes, it could have easily ended up being his night.

But cong**** to Froch. He's a beast.
Yeah Kessler lost the fight in the first 3 rounds. That is quite a hole. Furthermore Froch's jab was masterclass.

While watching the first fight 3 years ago, I was surprised how Froch occasionally outjabbed Kessler who at the time had one of the best jabs in the business. I regret not taking that observation in consideration when I made my pick as Kessler's jab has deteriorated quite a bit. Still I felt that Kessler's aggression would be the key towards a KO win. That aggression was not there for those 3 rounds and that was crucial. I reckon it's the froch jab that made the difference.

And still the 11th nearly gave that KO.

Anyway it was a great fight. And a great fight for Kessler to ride on into retirement. I hope.

I didn't score it, I just read the scorecards, then watched the fight. And I had the feeling Froch won it because most of the rounds he was beating Kessler to the punch and landing jabs while Kessler was somehow inactive.
But when I would watch it again and score it, maybe I have it close, who knows.

117-111 or 116-112 for froch are both acceptable scores. Competetive but not close, both get outclassed in a rematch with ward. Ward might even stop froch with two good hands and a perfectly executed gameplan. He stops kessler for sure.

During the RBR only 1 person had it a draw, now there's 7 more

I had it Froch 116-112. I should mention that I watched it in fairly low quality though.

Ward only stops glass jawed weightdrained fighters. He is not stopping granitechinned warriors like Kessler and Froch.

I scored it 115-113 for Froch. With the way that 11th round went, I honestly expected Kessler to come out hot in the 12th and snatch, or be robbed of, a deserved draw. Credit to Froch though, he came back and almost embarrassed Kessler in that final round.
