With that said, the Canelo fight should happen at 154 and I've never said anything different.

I think most Mayweather fans want and say the fight should happen at 154 and no where else but 154.

Highlighting that he's clearly a small Jr MW and comes to the ring at around 150 lbs doesn't change any of that. That's hard to sink in, it seems.

Mayweather has overcome big weight disparities time and time again so Canelo should be no different.

floyd has weighed in 1lb under the 147lb limit on most of his bouts at welter....

he's not coming in over 150.... i think you have to take his word, and if he's said, like he has in his post fight press conferences that he weighed 148/150 on the night... take it as fact.
Yeah Pac is interesting. He was 142 friday for DLH, 148 fight night. Why bother with those 5lbs, why not come in 147 officially?

I know Team Floyd claimed 147 fight night for Cotto That makes their word on this less credible, kinda like JMM's 20lbs. But worse, since JMM would have been happy to step on the scale and try to prove his point

Let's put it this way. If Floyd weighed 150 for Ortiz, he was at least 10-15 lbs. heavier in the Cotto fight. Anyone with eyes could see how big he looked in that fight compared to his WW fights.

If you say he didn't look bigger, you got Floyd's cum in your eyes.

I think you are quite right. Mayweather stopped allowing a fight-time weigh-in years ago, and likes to perpetuate the myth that he walks around under 150. All part of his Superman schtik. The last time I can recall seeing his un-offical weight I believe it was 158, but can't remember against whom. There was quite a discussion amongst the commentators when they began to notice this, which is why I began to notice it.

I recall that for his fight before last (?), there was an incautious release from his camp which said that he was now down to 156, after only a month in camp.

My own opinion is that nothing Mayweather says can be regarded as truth, his PR people keep churning out a screen of myth and bombast to bamboozle the public. Just consider his "world record guarantee" of $32 mill for the Cotto fight, which he actually guaranteed to himself. In other words moving it from one pocket to the other. It was all PR crap so that he could say he surpassed Mike Tyson's legitimate record of $31 mill. Of course for him to be able to do all this, he needs idiot fans to lap it up. He has those.

And the SHOWTIME agreement for $250 mill and 6 fights in 30 months... Some writers on this site dug into this and found that he had a contract for only ONE fight, and that SHOWTIME has options for 5 more (likely one at a time). They could close it down at any time it seems. Nobody really knows what the contract terms are, or even if he got $32 mill for the first fight. it could have been $20 mill with Mayweather supplying the other $12 mill...Who knows......? Boxing business is a deep, murky pit.

The reason he comes in at 147-148, is because he's a natural ww. When he weighs in at 150-152, he will accidentally reydrate to 147-148. Because thats his natural size. At 147, he manages his eating habits, then the night before the fight, he gains weight. At 154, he eats all he wants, then accidentally loses the weight the night before the fight! #NOWYouKnowBoxing

Floyd looked the same silly man. When Floyd is at his biggest, he looks how he looked against Cotto, and Ortiz, and JMM. Same size each fight. He looked kind of skinny against Mosley and Ghost. But if you were right, then why didnt Floyd just weigh in at 154, instead of 152? Since he's a natural 147lber, he weighs in at 152, then accidentally comes in the ring at 147 or 148. 2lbs from how much he weighed against Ortiz.

                      DISGUSTING.
It was from well before the Marquez fight. The Marquez fight weight was only revealed because it was greater than the contracted weight and there was a penalty clause that had been well publicized.
