I don't think anyone says that because Froch is a bigger draw, he's a better fighter. It's just a simple fact that there aren't that many big fights out there for Ward.
I said this in the other thread. Absolutely no one can claim Froch is better, Ward just doesn't have many options at the moment.

You're not going to get an argument from me there.

He got to the top of the p4p list long before he made big money. The last few years. What about before that? When he makes top p4p fighters look ordinary then you downplay it. The fact is he beat very good fighters easily because he is a great fighter.

Your point about fighters proving greatness is spot on. Same thing about wanting to see the best fights and making the most doesn't equate to being the best. But in floyds case he got to be the highest paid beacuse he is the best.

boxing is a sport that is done for ENTERTAINMENT..... if a guy is a good fighter but can't entertain then he doesn't deserve to draw and earn huge pay days

Is that true though? The Punisher was one of his generations most entertaining fighters and he had to endure a lot of hate cause he was a welterweight in a division controlled by two scared money fighters. (Floyd & Pacman).

What was Floyd's last really great achievement?? IMO it was DLH. That's too far back to count in 2013. Please don't say Hatton because if there were no biased judges, Collazo would have won.

If I was 6ft2, had a big frame and 5ft8 welterweights didn't want to fight me. Do you know what I'd do? Move to the division above ( Jr Middleweight- Middleweight) and prove my supremacy. You can make the argument that Paul Williams was ducked and I wouldn't disagree with you. But the man had options, options that would have solidified his position in the boxing world. He didn't take them.

It's why I don't really feel sorry for Ward, it is within his capabilities to beat down named fighters in the Light Heavyweight division but he is sticking with a Super Middleweight division that is dead ( outside of the fighters he has already spanked).

But you're tripping. It is a fact the Punisher fought at welterweight, jr middleweight and middleweight simultaneously in search of whoever would fight him. Now it's real easy to say (above 154/160) to suite an agenda, while completely ignoring the fact that he made welterweight with no problems.

Just because he is tall, does not mean that he could fight at super middle and light heavy. Sounds like an excuse to me. The Punisher never bothered making a contract to fight at 144 and didn't make weight cause he couldn't and came in heavy bro.

Bush, is this about Floyd or Froch, or both?

Being the bigger name doesn't trump being the better fighter. Who said it does?

It can however influence the location of the fight.
