Anyone else notice this? seems to be taking slight stabs at Froch whenever he can. Very sneaky, and a bit unlike him.
Seems he isn't liking the attention Froch is getting.
Hell nah. Ward seems like a very secure person to me. Froch tried to lie about Ward being an entertaining fighter. I mean Ward dont headbutt and clinch anymore. He's very aggressive inside fighter. Takes risk, very violent. Basically beats the crap out of you. Had crowd going wild in his last few fights. And got multiple knockdowns, and stoppage in his last fight. Froch cant accept the fact that Ward dominated him, so he tries to pretend that Ward is boring. I thought Ward had a very good respond to it, during that final interview.

I didn't sense that. I thought he was pinpoint and very accurate and professional in calling the fight. At the end after Froch's interview he simply responded to Froch's comments about him being a boring fighter. He said what he had to say about it and then went back to the fight we had just watched.
Jealous not sure but he DEFINITELY made it clear he's not a fan of Froch's as the entire HBO crew didn't give Froch hardly any credit during the fight.
I think Ward doesn't like Froch because of the Atlantic City fight and how he got under his skin.
Lampley even tried to rationalize a Kessler performance that was better than what the scores indicated. Ward finally then gave him some props but its obvious there is animosity there.

Agree with your comment, Kessler was barely hitting Froch and Lampley was shouting and screaming as if Froch got wobbled or hit flush.
Big left hook from Kessler big right hand frm Kessler. I was like, am I seeing the same fight?

Lampley is always like this. i didnt watch the hbo version i watched it on sky but, whenever you watch a fight with lampley as a part of the crew he is so biased, he definitely has his favourites. steward was the best on hbo. showtime is far better, malignaggi and tarver are both good analysts. i like roy aswell but i think he does sometimes favour styles, like broner.
I think you're right. Ward is jealous of the way fans like or love Froch. He will never get that kind of love from most fans. Everybody knows he is a very good fighter and the best 168 pounder in the world unless and until someone beats him. He is one of the best 3 or 4 fighters in the world pfp. He is not very exciting and he is a dirty fighter. He does lots of wrestling and holding and hitting and causes cuts with his head in my opinion.
VERY ani-Froch and VERY pro Kessler. It was obvious, and I think he had to catch himself a few times because it started to border on unprofessional. I was surprised, because Ward is good at commentary and I didn't expect him to let dislike of one fighter cloud him so bad. Even his pro Kessler comments were funny. "He really did some things to tighten up holes in his defense in the gym. I'm impressed with what I'm seeing." Followed by Max asking "what do you see that he did or that is different?" With Ward responding "he isn't get hit as much."

Not jealous, it's because as Foch admitted after the fight that he had been disrespecting ward. And I'm sure it wasn't exciting getting pummeled by ward. And remember they did not fight in Oakland it was Atlantic city and the bully with the mouth got bullied in that ring. So obviously there is some kind of feelings between the two. But ward was a class act as a commentator I didn't sense any jealousy.
