Ward wants to get paid big, and the only way he gets paid big right now is by fighting Carl. He wants it more, but if he wants to fight Carl he has to come to the UK. Nothing else needs to be said, that's all that matters.

It's easily the biggest fight available for Ward at the moment. If he believes that he can beat Froch why doesn't he just go and do it and bank millions?

Froch doesn't need Ward, he makes just as much money against Kessler or Hopkins in the UK. However, he wants Ward because he's the top dog of the division and it's the only other loss in his career.

Both fighters want the fight, but for different reasons. Ward for money, Froch for legacy.

Yes, because clearly anyone who isn't the #1 is a bum. Let's just forget that this was a fight between the clear #2 and #3 in the division and label them both bums anyway.

Your obvious ******ation aside, Froch would be more than happy to keep fighting in Europe for big money, but would Ward be happy fighting in Oakland in front of 12 people for peanuts? THAT is why Ward needs Froch, it's not the other way around because Ward couldn't sell beer to a drunk.

I have a bigger problem with Andre Ward looking desperate for a rematch of a fight he dominated then I do with him fighting in the UK. Venue doesn't matter, Ward wins the rematch as well.

Money is the motivator here. Ward has no bigger payday in store for him. And Froch has improved. A UK rematch would be big for Ward. Who wants big paydays.

And he didn't fight Froch in Oakland before, so it's irrelevant to mention Oakland at all.

I agree on both. But TS said Ward needed it more than Froch, which in terms of legacy, is not the case.

As Mayweather says.. "this is prizefighting, dummy" and Froch is basically "The Rock" the peoples champion... Ward is the "Rick Flair" of the boxing world,the guy would go on his hands and knees and beg not to get punched and then punch you straight in the gonads just for the W..

Basically people would gladly pay to see Froch fight because they know they'll get their moneys worth just like last night

with Ward,what can i say he gets the job done but his most watchable fights are with Abraham and Froch and he spoiled a lot in the Froch fight
