Why are Ward Defenders Crying about a rematch in the UK?

Froch deserves a rematch. He has proven himself to be the 2nd best in the division.

It's like the pacquiao-barrera situation where even though pac dominated the first fight he had to give barrera another shot because of barrera's caliber as a fighter and his accomplishments. Even though ward beat froch clearly and rather easily Froch has earned his shot at another crack at the top spot and ward has an obligation to give a great champion like him his respect and a shot at redemption.

This is the exact reason why it means nothing to froch, if you watch the post fight interviews with froch he basically admitted that ward is the better fighter and he might win again. Everyone understands this, so no one really cares to see and Froch understands that ward only wants it for the paycheck, so he said his terms in the UK or no, why should he go to a fighters hometown to most likely lose just to give him a paycheck lol. you want that check you come to the money makers home and earn it!.

Ward might be remebered as that fighter too scared too leave home, the book on him isnt written yet and froch as of right now has the better resume so his legacy is a bit more elevated then ward, not saying ward cant surpass it but the willingness from ward dont seem to be there. time will tell

Froch is a monster,just look at his last ten fights-a win over him again only enhances Wards resume,i see no reason it shouldn't happen

agree with the TS. There is zero reason for Ward not to travel to the UK. The draw has more power imo. Also it would be a bigger event in the UK.

What are the options for both fighters at the moment? Looks like Froch has more options than Ward at the moment. It's irrelevant whether Ward has beaten Froch before because his profile hasn't really caught any fire. He needs high profile names or fights but he doesn't seem to have much option.

Going to the UK and fighting and beating Froch there would be the absolute best career move Ward could make right now. Hope he realises that.

Obviously Ward is the superior fighter, but thats where all ends. First of all, Ward cant sell tickets, period. Froch brings all the money no if buts or whats about it. Second and more important, when Ward was a nobody, people travel to Oakland and gave him the opportunities, so he and his fans better stop this "He is the champ Bs and he dont have to travel".

Ward needs this rematch more than Froch. He needs to prove he can fight on away turf and most importantly, Froch can fight Kessler again make as much money as if he was fighting Ward and tell Ward to F off.

So in other words Froch is in the drivers seat and Ward needs to get that trhough his thick ass head!

Dont act as if ppl came to oakland out of the kindness of their hearts. All fighters were gonna fight at home and travel, ward didnt travel because evey time he was about to his oponent pulled out.

Abraham was supposed to fight taylor in little rock, but sauerland made the decision to switch things up. They chose to send kessler to oakland so that abe could fight at home, it was entirely their decision.

As a result ward would fight taylor in arkansas but then JT pulled out, it made ko sense to make ward-green in oaklahoma so it went to oakland. Just like it didnt make sense to have ward-abraham in germany after abe lost two in a row. Ward was willing to fight dirrell in detroit but like jermain he pulled out.

The idea that froch is in the drivers seat is absurd. Sure he brings in more money than ward, but at this stage is that really what carries the most weight? I think froch is worried more about his legacy at this stage and Ward is #1 at 168 and holds a win over him. Sure he could beat kessler again for a good payday, but he will always be the second best smw of his era unless he fights ward.

Ward has hbo backing him and all the time in the world, lets not act as if he desperately needs a payday to the point where he needs guys he already beat mote than they need him.

That said i think ward should go to england to make a statement, but its his choice. He doesnt need to do anything and he is 100% in the drivers seat.
