Jesus, if you guys were in charge of dudes' careers you'd have made Ali retire after the first Frazier fight or told Ray Robinson that it was time to shut it down after LaMotta beat him.
      Very true. Good post.

I think his style suited the amateurs very well but he doesn't seem to have progressed much since turning pro,and his lack of power is a worry if he steps up to world level imo

What's left for him? He's not interesting now that a second Ward fight is out of the window. Sure he can keep fighting, but as a fellow countryman, I doubt I would even watch him again. He's past it, deal with it.

Warren don't promote Degale anymore, Mick henessey (Fury's promoter) does. He was ment to headline a show but it got cancelled so that was just a stay busy fight.

You guys realise he was injured going into the fight, right?

I'd love to see a trilogy.

I don't think it's a matter of him having nothing left in the tank, because as other people have mentioned I think he could still beat most guys out there. But he has made lots of money, has had lots of injuries, he has diminished quite a bit, what more is there to gain from carrying on? He has had a good career, unless he moves up and fights for a lightheavyweight title which will add to his legacy, he should retire.

kess isn't over the hill just yet but hes on a downward slop - no doubt about that.

i still think he could KO anyone not called froch or ward simply because hes a quality fighter. But i don't think he can compete with the elite guys whereas three years ago he could.

hes been through 40+ training camps, 4 very tough fights (frochx2, calz and ward) and has recently suffered three serious career threatening injuries. i think its fair to say he should call it a day.
