Comments Thread For: Hearn: A Win Here Will Make Froch an All-Time Great

PROMOTER Eddie Hearn is convinced that Carl Froch is just one fight away from becoming one of world boxing’s all-time greats.

Froch has his megabucks rematch with Mikkel Kessler at the O2 Arena in London tonight and Hearn has no doubt about the place the Nottingham fighter can carve in ring history.

Their super-middleweight world unification bout is an 18,000 sell-out with the winner earning complete bragging rights in the division.

IBF belt holder Froch lost on points to Kessler in April 2010 and is desperate to avenge that reversal against the current WBA belt holder.

Froch won't be an ATG unless he beats Ward in Oakland. He's definitely HOF material though.

I love how it specifically has to be in Oakland.

Anyway he's not beating Ward, not now, not ever. That being said a win here is putting him pretty high up on the british ATG list, with one of the most watchable catalogue of fights.

The challenger travels to the champion, it's hardly an unknown concept in boxing.

Ward is a top p4p fighter, he doesn't have to travel for anyone.
